Better than any book in English I've ever seen. The photos are beautiful and it outlines a bunch of restaurants based on type of cuisine.
Soldiers from the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) contribute to a Joint Armed Forces Unit of Pentagon Tour Guides that train to take the estimated 100,000 people that visit the Pentagon on tours every year. Spc. Christopher Molitoris has been a Tour Guide for a year and a half, and conducted an estimated 1,500 combined Public and VIP Tours. He conducted this Tour on March 3, 2016. The Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters or Messier 45, is a famous open star cluster located in Taurus constellation. The brightest stars in the cluster represent the Pleiades, the Seven Sisters in Greek mythology, and their parents, the nymph Pleione and the Titan Atlas.
Messier 45 is one of the nearest star clusters to Earth. Its brightest stars lie at a distance between 390 and 460 light years. The cluster is mostly composed of hot, blue, highly luminous stars belonging to the spectral class B with an estimated age under 100 million years.
The bluish haze is actually referred to as a reflection nebula as light from the stars is reflected off cosmic dust.
M45 has been known since ancient times in cultures across the globe, including the Chinese, the Japanese, the Persians, the Māori , the Maya, the Cherokee, the Aztec, the Sioux, and the Aboriginal Australians. The Japanese mentioned it as Mutsuraboshi, which means “six stars,” in documents dating back to the 8th century. They also know it as Subaru, meaning “coming together” or “cluster.” (An image of the cluster is used in the car company’s logo.)
The cluster is mentioned in the Iliad, the Odyssey, the Bible and the Quran among other texts.
It was called MUL.MUL, meaning “the star of stars,” in Babylonian star catalogues. The earliest depiction of the cluster appears on the Nebra sky disk, an artefact dating back to 1600 BC, the Bronze Age.
In Hindu mythology, the cluster is associated with Murugan, the war god, who was raised by six sisters and developed six faces, one of each of his mothers.
The Aztecs based their calendar on the cluster; the Pleiades’ rising in the east before dawn marked the beginning of their year. The heliacal rising of the cluster in June also marked the beginning of the year for the Māori of New Zealand.

About The Series: The focal press guides, usually but not always written by the indefatigable W. D. Emanuel are a treasure trove for collectors of cameras. Not for the sections on how to use individual cameras (which do, however contain a great deal of good sense) but for the descriptions of different models. They are the first source to go to if you want to know the difference between (for example) an Ensign Selfix 16/20 Model I and an Ensign Selfix Model II or how many elements the Trinar lens in your Regula camera has
She showed me the Jirozon statue, the Hypocenter, and a cemetery with tombstones from before and after the bombing. She also showed me everything in her binder, including some intense pictures - this was when my stomach started to knot up.
She was also the first Japanese person I have met who said "Oh, thank you!" when I told her she had good English, as opposed to demurring. She gave me a little ziploc (the tiny kind you use for crafts) with a paper crane and a slip of paper with her email address to "further [her] study" of English. She was so sweet.
A tour guide giving a tour of the rotunda in the US Capitol, we were fourtnate to be escorted and given a tour by my younger brother Nathan which got us a number of places you don't normally get to go such as the floor of the house.
Guide dog owner Jill Daley and het guide dog, Lucas, join Team GD on day 12 of the Four Legs Tour for Guide Dogs Week 2013. Also joining the team is actress Carmen Pierccini star of Scottish soap River City. The team took in Glasgow Cathedral, where our tour guide, Marilyn, was completely brilliant!
