I'm not sure if these fabric strips were for grounding the object, or if they were to secure the object to the tower in case it suddenly blew off or something.
A random snapshot of a copper grounding wire that was stapled onto one of the new 65-foot tall wooden electrical poles... the last one to be installed on this pole line on my Uncle's property.
The reason why this pole has a lot of copper grounding wire stapled onto the bottom of it was because they used what was left on a wire spool so they just stapled it in a spiral onto the bottom, making use out of all of the wire.
This is a part of Entergy of Mississippi's project to replace the old wooden poles on this line with taller ones as well as installing a second set of three-phase electrical power lines or a second circuit as the crew calls it, delivering more electrical power to the ever growing Rex Lumber Company Mill which was drawing way more power than the current grid could handle and with a newer transformer installed over at the nearby Brookhaven Substation, the Rex Lumber Company Mill can operate more efficiently without putting too much strain on the rest of the system.
This project is being done by a subcontractor called Shelton Energy Solutions... a Limited Liability Company (LLC) that is based in Alexandria, Louisiana.
California - Santa Barbara - East Beach - Sailboat Aground - Bad Parking Job - 9-10-2017. The good sailboat Escapade. Not unusual for a boat to break away from its anchorage and run aground but it usually happens in the winter not the summer. I think the flag hoist is a bit of a joke.
Unfortunately, I was pulled in the middle of this job. The LR dress is mine along with the #6 ground. The rest is by others.

Who doesn't need a little grounding and balancing in their life? This wonderful tree symbolizes both: grounding roots reaching into the earth and balancing branches stretching out into the sky. The little blue dots? Well, they are what I call "little drops of consciousness from the Universe" - the stuff that connects it all together and provides inner wisdom. All on a lovely blue and green background that brings the hope of spring to mind.
This big crunched focal bead measures 31mm tall X 20mm wide. The hole is formed by a 5/64 sized mandrel. This bead is kiln annealed and cleaned by hand to remove excess bead release.
Photo taken of a farm house that was built in the early 1900's. It belongs to the family of Sara's friend Emma and is no longer lived in but used for storage of farm tools. You can see the doors where her grandfather and his brothers carved their initials and all original wood workings. Outside on top of the roof there are still Lightning rods with glass balls and grounding wires.

Jasper is a stone aggregate of microquartz and/or chalcedony. The common red color is due to iron content. Poppy patterned jasper has red crystals that resemble the poppy flower. Its metaphysical qualities include enhancing organizational abilities, relaxation and creating a sense of wholeness. It brings happiness and a good outlook on life and eases stress. It is a good stone for grounding oneself and is associated with the root chakra.

These NMDs were bought from a friend in Europe. They are wonderfully broken in, both the soles and the uppers.
They are a bit large, so my big toes don't line up with the toe holes in the uppers until I slide my feet a bit forward. The soles are prefect however, the real grounding feel. Good for long walks.
