And just FYI, here are my illustrated instructions on how to make an origami paper box. Hopefully you can make out the drawing - I don't seem to have the full size with me. I THINK everyone knows this already, but maybe it's a regional thing. Make two of slightly different sizes and then they can nest as a lid/box combo.
GARC, apparently, is a thing. Fair enough. I'm not sure I fully grok GARC, but here's my first stab at it.
Driver Stefu Spica and navigator Andu Antares hacked the GARC Shark together out of two old Terran muscle cars and a commercial tug-motor.
Despite protests from their sponsor (Heartspace Motors), the girls have refused to enclose their cockpits or wear full space suits. The sponsor insists on impact helmets and emergency oxygen, but the girls usually wear tank tops and miniskirts when racing their unique space "convertible" on the asteroid circuit.
How do they avoid freezebroiling and turning inside-out in the harsh conditions of outer space? "We just keep the A/C cranked up," they claim. "Way up."

The wind swept across the plains that would later be known as Oklahoma, carrying the faint bark of a trickster coyote as Tsen-goy-goo-ah, a seasoned Kiowa brave, peered across the prairie. His dark eyes scanned the horizon, where the Wichita Mountains rose like an eroded red-granite backbone of the ancient range.
This morning, he’d slipped away from the camp near Rainy Mountain, driven by a restless need to prove himself. The elders spoke of a time when Kiowa warriors roamed freely, their horses thundering across these lands, but now the world felt smaller, hemmed in by settlers’ fences and the weight of change. Tsen-goy-goo-ah didn’t dwell on it—he focused on the white-tailed buck browsing on the young leaves of oak shinnery.
With a breath held steady, he drew his bowstring, the arrow’s flint head glinting briefly in the sun. The shot was clean, and the deer fell, a gift for his people. As he approached the still-warm body of the buck, he offered a quiet prayer to the spirits of the land, the words rising like smoke into the vast prairie sky. For Tsen-goy-goo-ah, this was more than meat—it was a thread tying him to the strength of his ancestors, a promise that the Kiowa fire still burned bright in his heart.

:) so Ethan and Boris came up with this spanking new OPML-based & Google Co-op driven search feature for GV and i took it for a test drive in the most fun fashion possible:
"i googled for porn @ Global Voices Online"
Out comes blog postings from Amit Agrawal - Digital Insipiration, Joho Blog, etc. We live in an exciting world now, don't we?
Other interesting keywords i used while googling @ GV:
Might need to have those as "related searches" i guess, but it sure makes a good joke blog posting though :P
i wonder if the gv authors' images that show up with the search results in the top-right corner of the page have anything to do with the search keywords, i've been told by someone that the search feature wasn't tied into the images' rotator script... but am still waiting to hear from Ethan and Boris on the image rotation + keyword search
If you haven't checked it out yet, go & grok @:
