This N-1 is 28cm long, slightly longer than its yellow counterpart. This was to accomodate the frame-tail but I think the proportions look a bit better. There's plenty of detail but I've gone for strenth over accuracy, it should withstand a good swoosh, but most importantly Grogu will fit in the back. Who didn't see that coming?!
It is friday again so that means time for a brand new STAR WARS THE MANDALORIAN Season 2 building series creation:
As the Razor Crest approaches the planet Tython, Din Djarin speaks to Grogu, addressing him by his name. He trains the Child to use the Force to summon the joystick ball.
The Razor Crest descends into Tython's atmosphere, flying over several hills. Using the ship's navigation systems, Djarin closes in on the seeing stone that Ahsoka Tano had told him about earlier. Since the "magic rock" lacks a suitable area for the Razor Crest to land, Djarin decides that they will have to "travel the last stretch with the windows down." Djarin travels on a jetpack with the Child in his arms to the seeing stone.
They find that the stone is a rocky dome that lies at the center of several stony structures surrounding a circle. He places the Child on top of the stone and wonders if there is a way to activate the structure. Djarin uses his helmet scanner to scan for any controls. Grogu plays with a butterfly. While Djarin wonders how to get the Child to activate the structure, he sights a starship circling them which turns out to be the Slave I, Boba Fett's starship. As the Slave I lands in a nearby clearing, Djarin tells Grogu that they have to get out of here.
The hooded man removes his hood, revealing himself as the bald Boba Fett. Fett tells Djarin that he is here for his armor. Thinking that Fett is referring to his armor, Din tells him that he will have to peel it off his dead body. Fett clarifies that he is not after Djarin's armor but his armor that he got from Cobb Vanth back on Tatooine. Fett says it belongs to him. Djarin asks if he is Mandalorian.
When Djarin asks what is to stop him from shooting him down, Fett replies that he has a sharpshooter on the ridge with a locked scope that will unload by the time his body hits the ground. Djarin counters that he is wearing beskar and threatens to kill Fett and his companion. Fett clarifies that his friend has locked onto to the Child, who is on the henge. Fennec Shand identifies herself as the sniper, reminding Djarin that she does not miss.
Just then, a third starship circles nearby and the three scatter. Djarin runs back to Grogu, who is immersed in the force field which rises up. Djarin tries to force his way inside the force field but is thrown back by the bubble. Meanwhile, Fett and Shand take up position in a rock near the shuttle. Several stormtroopers emerge from the shuttle and come under fire from Fett and Shand, who manage to shoot a few down. As the stormtrooper commander orders his men to disperse, Fett signals for Shand to split up.
Several stormtroopers close in on Shand but she takes them out with her blaster. However, she is outnumbered and soon surrounded by more reinforcements. The stormtroopers tell her that they are not after her but the Child. Just then, Djarin arrives and uses his whistling birds to take out several stormtroopers. He and Shand join forces to fight the stormtroopers. Djarin offers Shand to make amends for the last time if they get out of here alive. Shand accepts his offer and the two fight against the advancing stormtroopers.
As the skirmish rages, Boba Fett arrives in his reclaimed armor and jetpack and uses a grenade to take out and disorientate more stormtroopers. He takes several down with his blaster and in hand to hand combat. The remaining stormtroopers retreat aboard their ships, which depart...

Chapter 14 was so fraking awesome with the comeback of Boba Fett, so I had to build a creation on Tython with combat scenes. The creation shows exactly that, Mando, Fennec and Boba fighting togehter against some stormtroopers in the landscape of Tython.

After I uploaded the first version, I kept on finding things to improve. I think I'm done now.
Notable improvements:
- Grogu's dome
- Better angle and detail on the front of the wings
- Better solution for the tail
- More detail on the engines
For a wile now I have been working on a project that I want to turn into a book. It is about toys of my youth.. We grew up pore so it is more about toys I wish I would have had, not ones that I actually did have. This is a series of Lego People. I can now create with the Legos, using my camera and Photoshop, what I created using Lego and my imagination, back when I was a kid. This is my craziest Lego image yet, it has Mando, Grogu and Boba Fett. I love the Mandalorian

Kidding, kidding - though I do wonder if Grogu will be in Season 3 or not. Mando still has some stuff to sort out for himself - the Darksaber with Bo-Katan, being a child of "The Watch". I'm sensing we are going to see see some serious stuff on Mandalore in season 3. Maybe not so much for Baby Rancor.

Only few days after christmas I use the chance to present to you my last creation for my STAR WARS THE MANDALORIAN Season 2 building series and of course it is THE scene of that series, so ATTENTION: MASSIVE SPOILERS!!!
[...] Another alarm sounds, and a lone X-wing fighter flies past the cruiser. As the ship lands in the docking bay, Bo-Katan asks them to identify themselves, but Grogu looks up, sensing something. The dark troopers stop their attack on the door, and turn around. Bo-Katan watches on the monitor as a hooded figure disembarks and walks through the ship, destroying dark troopers with a lightsaber. With his captors distracted, Gideon grabs the blaster and shoots at Bo-Katan, knocking her to the ground. As he stands and fires, Djarin leaps in front of Grogu protecting him from the shots. Gideon stops shooting, then raises the pistol to his chin to kill himself, but Dune knocks it out of his hand, then knocks him unconscious.
Grogu reaches for the monitor, watching as the Jedi destroys the last of the dark troopers. Djarin tells them to open the blast doors, but Shand thinks he's crazy so he does it himself. The Jedi enters, and pulls back his hood to reveal he is Luke Skywalker. Djarin asks if he is a Jedi, which Skywalker confirms. He then holds out his hand to Grogu, who hesitates and turns to Djarin. Djarin says Grogu doesn't want to go with him, but Skywalker says he just wants Djarin's permission. Skywalker pledges to give his life to protect Grogu, but says that talent without training is nothing. Skywalker adds that he will not be safe until he masters his abilities.
Djarin picks up Grogu, and tells him to go with Luke and that they will meet again. Grogu reaches for his helmet, which Djarin removes, showing his face to his young charge for the first time. He tells Grogu not to be afraid and places him on the ground. R2-D2 enters, and Grogu walks towards the droid. Skywalker nods and picks him up, then turns and walks away, as Djarin watches them go with tears in his eyes.
Exactly that scene shows my newest addition to my building series: The bridge of Moff Gideon's cruiser at the moment, as Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 arrived. Maybe you recognize that my creation shows 2 different scenes: first the arrival with R2-D2 and the other scene shows Luke with his green lightsaber in his hand and the hood on his face. I can't secide between the epic jedi lightsaber moment and the emotional good-bye between Djin and Grogu, the result is a two in one build.

finally it is time to present to you my 4th creation of the disney+ series #themandalorian. This vignette took a little bit more of time because my freetime Was limited in the last days, but I'm proudly finished this one. Take a look at the backstory of that scene:

Shard's starship commences an aerial bombardment of the settlement, destroying and damaging numerous buildings. The civilians run in panic. A white protocol droid orders the people of Nevarro to evacuate to the lava flats. Karga sends a distress message to Captain Carson Teva, requesting help from the New Republic. Captain Teva travels on his X-wing starfighter with his R7 astromech droid to the planet hosting the Mandalorian covert. Djarin agrees that Teva is right and that he has to help Karga. Kryze reminds him that he can't do it alone.Outside, Kryze briefs the Mandalorians about her Kom'rk-class fighter, which she intends to use to drop them into Nevarro City. She tells them that they needed to operate as a tight military unit. Kryze and Djarin will reinforce them from above. She hopes to use the element of surprise to defeat an enemy that outnumbers them.
Meanwhile in Nevarro City, the pirates are pillaging the city and terrorising a bartender and the local Kowakian monkey-lizards. Several of them see Djarin's N-1 starfighter flying overhead. With the Corsair distracted, Kryze flies her Gauntlet fighter over the city, allowing the Mandalorians to drop down to the surface. The first team descends into the city with their jetpacks. Several Anzellan mechanics watch as the Mandalorian clan members ambush several, kill and capture several pirates. [...]

I instantly fell in love with Mando's customized N-1 starfighter after watching the Book of Boba Fett so I rebuilt my original Naboo N-1 starfighter MOC.
My favorite features of this build:
1. The core design is the same as my original yellow version.
2. It can fit the Mandalorian with his jetpack on in the cockpit, and Grogu can fit on his laps. (I gave up putting Grogu in the dome because I want to use the same design as the yellow version.)
3. The body of an astromech droid can fit in the belly of the ship.
I am building it in real life but some of the pieces are not available in this color yet but hopefully they will be available soon.
Din Djarin was tight on credits and heard that they are having starfighter races on the Colosus, so he decided to enter with his souped up N-1 starfighter, and to make it look the part, he gave it a fitting colorful paint job.

Recently I've been getting involved more with our local LUG, GFKLUG. A few of our displays at River Cinema Grand Forks Comic Con 2021 in the Alerus Center. The LUG built a replica of the River Cinema 15 theatre complete with working lights. I brought out some ships which always seems to be a favorite and of course Star Wars customs!

Here is my 1436 piece, 36cm long, proportionally accurate (hopefully, for the most part) Razor Crest.
I used Hasbro’s super detailed Haslab Razor Crest model as a reference to try and create a moc as accurate as possible and I’m quite pleased with how it’s come out.
I also designed an angled stand for it that slots in and out of the underside of the ship and it comes with detachable landing gear, fully functional side and rear doors and… a tiny little Mando and Grogu waiting inside.

Unfortunately we already reach the end of my #themandalorian season 3 building series with that chapter 24 creation. Here is a short summary what happens in the scene which I build:

Meanwhile, Djarin, Grogu, and IG-12 enter Gideon's command room. Gideon enters through a second door and is furious that Djarin killed his Force-sensitive clones before they could draw their first breath. Djarin fires at Gideon but his blaster bolts bounce off his beskar armor. Djarin charges at Gideon with his jetpack but Gideon hurls him aside. The two fight in hand to hand combat in a hangar.
The Imperial Praetorian Guards join the fight and attack Djarin. Before they can subdue him, Grogu arrives with IG-12 and distracts them. Djarin rushes to protect Grogu but Gideon uses a fibercord whip to drag him back.
Gideon gains the upper hand due to his Dark Trooper armor. Meanwhile, Kryze takes down more Imperial armored commandos in aerial combat and rams into Gideon before he can finish off Djarin. She tells Djarin to save Grogu.
Gideon asks Kryze if she is going to surrender or fight. Kryze draws the Darksaber in return, promoting Gideon to draw a purple electrostaff.[...]
Like always it was a great pleasure to show you nee stuff every week based on one of my favourite Star Wars series. I think season 3 was overall a good show with a slow start but the end was satisfiying and well done. What do you think about the series and about my creations? 2 month later I proudly present to you my biggest creation I've ever made, which is 1,40 m long, 54 cm wide and 30 cm high. I used around 13.000 bricks, 31 minifigures and a Razor Crest MOC (design from richboyjhae) with about 5.400 parts. The creation shows the Razor Crest landing site, a hillside with blaster action and Boba Fett at it's best on the planet Tython, which you can see in season 2 of the disney+ series STAR WARS THE MANDALORIAN!
Here is the background story for what happens on Tython in the series:
The Mandalorian arrives with Grogu on Tython, and finds the ancient temple on top of a mountain. He seats Grogu at the center so that he may choose his path. Grogu meditates, and a protective Force field appears around him. Boba Fett arrives with the mercenary Fennec Shand, whose life he saved on Tatooine, and demands the return of his Mandalorian armor.[a] Following a tense confrontation, the Mandalorian agrees to trade the armor for the safety of Grogu. Two Imperial troop carriers arrive, carrying stormtroopers who attempt to capture Grogu. Honoring their agreement, Fett, Shand, and the Mandalorian join forces to fend off the advancing stormtroopers, inflicting heavy casualties. Boba Fett retrieves his armor and uses it to wipe out many stormtroopers before firing a rocket that destroys the fleeing troop ships. As the Force field surrounding him disappears, Grogu collapses from exhaustion.

Hopefully you enjoy my newest creation, I'm honestly very happy how it turned out and it was great to see it grow. Now I'm probably visit some LEGO conventions with that display piece, so I can present that huge work to a live audience.
