The canarian goats existed in the islands far before the arrival of the Europeans. They supply the milk used to make the excellent canarian cheese. These ones were very happily grazing in a meadow in La Orotava.

Camera error flashing, getting frustrated and too much time wasted messing about trying to take a few shots.
Got my first one delivered to new address yesterday. As we have no letter box on the door, and it didn't fit in our little box, the postie had to knock on the door!
Love the flapjack! :D
Myself and my daughter have had the sweet nuts, not keen at all on the roasted pistachios, very hard!!

Cows grazing in a field in front of the old Boxley Baptist Church (which was built in 1899).
This was taken in Boxley Valley, which sits along the upper end of the Buffalo National River in Arkansas.
While taking photos of the field and the mountain, this little guy (or girl) came strolling up to say hello, stopping for a moment to let me pet his nose, before continuing on his way.
Kangaroos grazing in the hills above Perth, WA. I couldn't get any closer without scaring them off.
Just looking through some old pictures that I meant to post here.
Photographing this herd of cows was not easy, as the sodding things were moving along, not looking at me when I wanted their attention.
I did manage to capture two of them grazing in the golden afternoon flow.
I love both the Yin-Yang-like symmetry and the colour in this shot.
In one of the paddocks of the Wyndgate property on the Coorong National Park there was a group of black swans grazing.
Another cold late winter afternoon as I took the dog for his usual run around in the fields. The horses were grazing peacefully and the clouds were rolling down the edge of our very own Lake District fell: Black Combe. Drama ensued.
A series of photos taken of a grazing Kudu cow, Addo Elephant Park, close to Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The beauty and grace of these animals are matched with sensory alertness, agility, speed and strength.
This cutey was taking it easy and chewing his cud with his friends in the shade of some trees on a green in the village of Brockenhurst. It's a delightful place where the wild ponies, cattle and donkeys graze where ever they wish and the only reason people still have roses in their gardens is because they have cattle grids on their drives.
The Amish let their pigs graze and they just love to be outside. They are very clean animals and always use the same corner of the pasture to do their duty!
Here is a picture of a couple of horses grazing in front of a barn for the "Countryside" topic of the Exploring Photography club.

Saw this cow grazing on the hill. With the small amount of lighting behind him i found that just the contrast of the photo would make it quite interesting. Shot this photo in the city of Yucaipa on my way out to Palm Springs.
Exit 131 provides a stopping point into the San Rafael Swell and hosts areas for permitted cattle grazing.

I went exploring a local wildlife sanctuary this afternoon.
I was surprised at this herd (or mob depending on which you prefer) of deer, grazing for dinner.
They are very socialized - I got some looks, and stares, but no startled scampering for cover which I'm used to with deer.
I hear there's some wild turkeys in the sanctuary. I'll have to see if I find one other than myself. =)
Primarily grazers but can have a very diverse diet.
Often graze on open areas, especially grassland, but
will spend long periods browsing in woodlands. In
hard frosts frozen grassland may be avoided in favour
of heather or gorse or woody plants. Will include
plants such as birch and Molinia (Purple Moor grass)
in their diet which other deer might avoid. Sika
are good at maintaining body condition through the
winter.
