Sheep grazing along the side of the road in the Aberdare Mountains. With an average elevation of 3,500 meters, the Aberdares receive varying amounts of rainfall (between 1000-3000mm), giving rise to equally diverse ecosystems.

Subdivision encroachment threatens our beautiful neighborhood. Today you can still find wild and domesticated animals living nearby on the larger parcels of land that remain undivided.
The balloon basket actually grazed the top of some poplar trees as the pilot searched for a place to land.
This arrived in the post this morning, free, gratis and for nothing! All been consumed by grandson. I think that you are supposed to sign up for a continuing supply.

This is one of the mares in the free range herd I photographed in Quesnel. I could tell she was higher up in the pecking order - probably an older mare. They all were following her around and she was being a tad bossy with the younger ones.

This maple tree is one of oldest known maple trees in Nova Scotia. The table in Rose Bank cottage was constructed from a sister to this one as a gift from Lord Dalhousie to Captain William Ross. Is the background our cattle can be seen grazing on this nice day.
