Don't know what the entrance is for because I stopped playing here but it is definitely impressive!

These are graphics from a type specimen/promotional booklet for Bertold Akzidenz Grotesk (I think there is a more accurate term for this type of publication but I can't think of it right now). There is no date in the booklet but the Wikipedia entry on the font suggests that it might be from around 1973.

I shot this black and white last week on a road trip in eastern Oregon. It was super windy (and the wind seemed to blow in every direction) and cold. Much of SE Oregon had flood issues.

The fishing boat Fast-A-Nuff at the wharf at Sandy Point. I wonder why it is docked since lobster season is going on and only 2 boats are at the wharf. The parking area was full of trucks and cars, probably belonging to other fishermen out on the water.

Edited by me !

Examples of television weather report graphics from the 1980s, when computer generated graphics were beginning to come into use.

These are from after Press Broadcasting purchased WRBV-TV in Vineland NJ in 1985. They had AccuWeather reports every hour on the half-hour with their 'Good as Gold' program format. The AccuWeather meteorologist's report was recorded over the telephone and played back with these slides.

Leaving for a week trip today with my best friend from California.

Health Update: I find the cancer treatments take a lot out of me, not tired but no energy. My PSA levels are now undetectable which is a great sign that things are working. They say it will be a year after treatments are over that I will have more energy, 9 more months of treatments (3 more hormone shots). Hoping I do well on the trip, more for my friends sake and that I can keep up.

Beautiful pre Photoshop graphics. Read these at school 50 years ago. Absolutely packed with information and fantastic hand drawn graphics. Works of art in themselves. I picked up all 12 volumes of 12 magazines for £10.00 on eBay year or so ago. All in mint condition.

An ancient Celtic symbol, the triquetra is considered one of the oldest; dating back to as early as 500 BC when it was used to symbolize the triple goddess (maiden-mother-crone).

The triquetra is also considered to represent the triplicities of mind, body, and soul, as well as the three domains of earth according to Celtic mythology- earth, sea, and sky.

Vintage Ed-U-Card Game card. Direct scan of the card. The deck includes many regulars from the American West--bronc busters, cowgirls, Indian chiefs, etc.

Inspired from one of my moon shots. I used Adobe LR and Photoshop. Still a lot more to learn to improve the visuals.

Paint action in photoshop

Shooting a graphics card. One flash, card on brown-colored acrylic glass, underneath the glass: dark cloth (black velvet).

That's it. Btw.: Yes, I was too lazy to clone out the spacer ...

5-min-Photoshop fix: darkening the background (paint black color all around the card and the reflection), sharpening.

Street graphics of Paris. Most of these modified signs have the stick figure carrying the white bar under his arm, like a surfboard. This white bar is obviously a much heavier burden.
