Vintage Olympus Zuiko OM 2.0 28 mm customized by OM Labor on Sony A7RII
Am Rastplatz Geismühle West der Autobahn 57 südlich von Krefeld steht mit ihren 700 Jahren eine der ältesten Turmwindmühlen in der Region Niederrhein. Sie war eine Getreidemühle, der Name "Geis" leitet sich von "Geest" ab, der lokalen Bezeichnung für einen trockenen, unfruchtbaren Sandrücken, auf dem die Mühle steht.
The 700 years old windmill "Geismühle" beside the autobahn A57 west near Krefeld, one of the oldest mills for cereals of the lower Rhine region.
Einer der ersten Tests des OM 2.0 28mm in der Variante des OM Labors von Gordon Friedrich. Hier bei Blende 5.6 sind Schärfe und Auflösung beachtlich, aber auch bei Offenblende für diese Lichtstärke sehr erfreulich. Kein Wunder dass diese Linse eine der gesuchtesten der alten OM Reihe ist.

An abstract shot of my old graphics card for this week's Macro Mondays theme of 'Handle with Care'. Circuit boards are notoriously vulnerable to static and are quite fragile. I used some cat toys to make an interesting background and a Canon EF100mm f/2.8L lens strapped to 52mm of extension tubes giving a magnification of roughly x1.47. 10 natural light exposures at f/5.6 combined in Zerene Stacker.
Here it is - my first real HDR. Purchased a graphics program tonight and gave its HDR function a shakedown cruise. Not completely happy with the results. Perhaps this photo wasn't the best to start with. Corel comes with an "Align Pictures" option which was great as the line-up was slightly off, but I don't like how you can't choose what areas to bring through and which to suppress. After HDR'ing it I imported a JPG version of the altered photo into GIMP which I know better to play with the saturation and contrast. Also did a tonemapping to bring out more of the details in the darker areas (HDR'ing didn't improve that much so TM'ing was useful). Removed some of the blemishes and voila. Still, not as good as HDR's I've seen on other streams. Got to keep working on it.
