Some documentation of Inside Stone, a 16 minute long graphical score/sculptural audiowork presented for my MFA Degree Show.
12 tension cables, 400 pieces of laser cut acrylic, over 1km of fishing line, seating based on the occult centre of the space, several buckets of black paint, 4 speakers, a 16 minute long quadrophonic mix, an arduino controlled stepper motor and a whole pile of blood sweat and tears.

"The slide command plots split posterior probabilities based on non-overlapping samples of trees taken from an MCMC run. This is equivalent to a non-overlapping "sliding window" analysis where the MCMC run is divided into equal size segments."

This is a graphical interpretation of my 2009 design goals. Among those goals are:
1. Spend more time working with vector art. 2. Do two to four design tutorials a month. 3. Apply something new I've learned in an ad or other design layout. 4. Play around with my tablet. 5. Create at least two ads this year where I receive enthusiastic feedback not only from the ad rep, but from the client as well. 6. Utilize sketches more in my design process. 7. Learn more about Flash - find/do tutorials. 8. Add fresh new content to our filler library, including more promos for online. 9. Play more with typography. 10. Stay abreast on design trends and continue to find ways to apply new design trends to ad designs and other design layouts.

The 3 graphical views are:
- (left) a top down view showing the chopper's track over the terrain, along with any selected objects. Currently scrollable, will be zoomable and allow placement of objects
- (top right) an interactive preview of the level, similar to how it will appear in game, but interactive for editing.
- (mid right) Full game preview. Uses the code that runs on the iPhone, and will always look/play the same as the iPhone version. It uses key presses and mouse to emulate tilt/touch.
It's very unlikely this app will be used by anyone other than myself, and it's hard to keep that in mind. I need it to be easy enough to use that I can create 20+ great levels with it though.

An LMS is an integrated set of applications. Different LMSes are essentially the same in terms of features, though they will be somewhat different in appearance and some minor features or functionality.

A graphical representation of my GPS logs collected during 2009.
The data was recorded using a NavMan in-car GPS and also on an iPhone using TrailGuru and GPS Tracker..
Only UK data is displayed here so that the data is easily viewable. Data was convered to KML, extracted using a Perl script, imported into Microsoft Excel, and displayed as a scatter graph.
London is clearly visible, as are trips to Cheshire, Birmingham, Wales and Glastonbury. Smaller trips to the right are to Harlow, Southend and Brands Hatch.
I live and work in West London, which explains the large amount of activity in that area, and the trips to South West London are to visit friends and attend band practices.
Only 5% of the data gathered is actually displayed here as Excel cannot handle more then 65,000 rows in a spreadsheet, hence some spots are missing but general trends are visible. I'll find another way of drawing the data soon.
