I cherry-picked universal symbols to transform them into mandalas that represent my interests, influences and hobbies.
i recently made a postcard for a friend's gallery show. it was done in an afternoon, and she is paying me in coffee. hey, we all have to start somewhere.
As our art director walks past her finished project, only her foot stops to pose for the camera. Busy. Busy.
This project was born out of my love for infographics. I wanted to give myself an exercise in researching and displaying information, so I chose to create a visual timeline of Namco's arcade releases.
The timeline starts in the center of the circle and progresses outward. I used Wikipedia and several sources of archival videogame info on the internet (including good old Google Image Search) to gather images and release dates.
As for my color choices: red and yellow are used in some of Namco's early games (and the Namco Bandai logo); and red, orange, blue and pink are the colors of the four ghosts from Pac-Man.

Another attempt at following a psdtuts tutorial... I'm not so sure how I feel about the motion blur on the letters. I came up with a way on my own to make the aperture logo, so that made me happy!
Here's a logo I worked on for Holiday Wholesale in Wisconsin Dells. The theme for the 2015 trade show was a board games. The invite to the show was Monopoly themed and featured street names that put the spotlight on Holiday Wholesale's product classes. For example: Beverage Boulevard, Candy Court, and Plastic Parkway. The logo is a portion of one of my favorite projects.
Look at this closely. They're not the same. One was created using Vector Magic.
