Students graduate during the third of three undergraduate school commencement ceremonies held Saturday, May 6, 2023 in McKenzie Arena. One graduate and one undergraduate ceremony were held Friday, May 5.

Incoming graduate students pursuing MPH, MS, or PhD degrees participated in the Graduate Student Oath Ceremony on Friday, August 21 in the University Conference Center.

 

During this ceremony, first-year graduate students took an oath to uphold the values of integrity, professionalism and scholarship throughout their academic careers. This year’s keynote address was given by Sarah Bronson, Ph.D., director, Research Development, and director, Graduate Core Curriculum.

 

Symbolic of their initiation into the community of biomedical scientists, first-year PhD students received white lab coats, and master's students received a gift.

 

Prompted by an article in Science magazine, a group of College of Medicine graduate students spent a year developing an oath that reflected Penn State values. This is the seventh year for the Graduate Student Oath Ceremony.

It's graduating time for seniors and my list is long for prezzies! This is the first of many gifts for the girls. A giant Granny is their favorite color. Alyssa's party is the first and she likes turquoise. My stash had just the right shade. Cascade Yarns 128 Superwash Chunky, 3 skeins, and, I think, a J crochet hook is what I used.

On May 23, 2019, Ramapo College held the Graduate Commencement ceremony for students earning their master's degrees. The ceremony was held in the Arena of the Bill Bradley Sports and Recreation Center.

This room is on the second floor. Graduates frequently check out the room for group work requiring presentations. Like the rest of the library, it has wireless access so students can bring in their laptops for collaborative electronic projects. Sometimes the room can also be checked out for workshops and general study.
