This is a fine silver pendant in honor of Thanksgiving. I wanted to express my graditude for Mother Nature.

I made this bigger than the pattern called for because the stationary paper I was making was bigger. The Wrap is approximately 20" x 10". I also added the yellow elastic loop to hold a pen.

"Thanks for the purple sweater, man!"

I chose to use a button & elastic closure for this instead of the bias tape ties.

Just a moment of silence for the lives lost on Septermber Eleventh, 2001.

Another for those continuing to be lost ever since.

Flags are flying at half-mast not only for the terrible loss of life 7 short years ago, but also for those who continue to fight.

Brain Injury Services Adapt Clubhouse members

Mount Vernon District Supervisor Gerry Hyland joined Karen Brown, Executive Director of Brain Injury Services during a visit to his office to express his strong and long-standing graditude for Direct Support Professionals who work at BIS. DSPs are critical to helping children and adults with brain injuries to thrive and making Brain Injury Services an effective and efficient community based rehabilitation service.

Supervisor Hyland praised Brain Injury Services for their ability to develop model programs and services for children and adults with brain injuries, a major cause of disability in Virginia. Since 1989, BIS has been offering services either at no cost or on a sliding scale, including independent living skills training, respite care, specialized clubhouse programs and social skills training. At any given time, BIS is helping approximately 500 individuals in the region manage the challenges of living with a brain injury.

Every day, I'm more convinced that people are mostly good at heart. That there is more kindness than evil in the world. That the light far surpasses the darkness in life if we let ourselves see it. That people love each other, and try their best to show that love to one another.

We have to love each other. Without love, we have nothing.

This is for Bonnie from Albuquerque.Thank you for your kindness.

"And over to a table at the graditude cafe"
