I'm actually not sure how it runs in other countries, but here it's a habit that after victories the players come to each stand and get their share of graditude from the stands, usually by doing different chant-dialogs.

The water bubbles up from an underground spring that keeps the water temperature at around 51 degrees year round. It is slightly acidic (6.2) and far from dangerous. Infact, many people have reported improved health from drinking the spring water. It is located across the street form the Cold Spring Harbor Library around five miles south of Live Island Cafe. On any given day, people from all over come to the spring to fill their jugs. There is a real sense of community. The spring area is shared with a local yacht club, so if you visit, please be sure not to leave ANY trash or empty bottles. Let's respect the CSH community and show our graditude for this wonderful free gift of God.
