Eating Healthy and choosing nourishing choices for your body and mind is an intelligent decision. Eat smart and with awareness. Have graditude for every meal and you will add life to your years and years to your life. Let’s remember what “Yoga” means…It is a sanskrit word, sansrkit  is an ancient language and when you translate yoga into English it means union. Yoga is the union of your body, mind and spirit. These are 3 aspect of who you are. We have a body that allows us to enjoy this life and to go from place to place. We take care of our body and nourish it with food and exercise . We have a mind that helps us make decisions and allows us to be creative and open to new ideas and thoughts .We take care of our mind with eating healthy foods ,getting rest and relaxation. We have a spirit that shines through our eyes . “The eyes are the mirror of our soul” and when we take care of our body and mind, then our spirit shines brightly through our eyes and we feel good. So eating the Yoga way is not about being a vegetarian; someone who refrains from eating meat which includes fish ,rabbit , snake basically anything with 2 eyes. Eating in “Union”(yoga) means choosing foods that will nourish you and some body types need to eat meat to have strength and power. How do you know what foods you should eat ? It’s simple. Notice how you feel before you eat,while you’re eating and notice how you feel after you eat. You will be guided by feelings of comfort or discomfort. Eat foods that make you feel comfortable before,during and after. Eat foods that give you a sense of strength and power. The most nourishing foods are whole foods. Whole foods are food which haven’t been broken down or have preservatives and chemicals added. For example; a potato instead of French fries, an apple or piece of fruit instead of candy, rice or pasta instead of bread. A whole egg rather than eggs whites, it would be ok to use more egg whites and at least one full egg with yoke which makes a complete protein. Have meats that are without antibiotics or hormones. Fish that is fresh . It is important to appreciate the animal which is nourishing your body and mind. Have a moment of thanks before eating. Add more vegetables to your meals .Make your plate colorful with different fresh foods. Set the table nicely use your China ,light a candle even if it’s just you! Most important is that you celebrate food. Let food be your friend . It is ok to eat food that may not be the best choice from time to time especially when at a party or celebration…Indulge  be happy!  ENJOY!

The Founders Memorial was erected in the Common in 1930. Commemorating the 300th anniversary of the founding of Boston, a bas relief by John F. Paramino sits on a large frame, designed by Charles A. Coolidge. The memorial depicts the city's first Enlgish resident, Wiliam Blackstone welcoming John Winthrop's party to Shawmut peninsula, as allegorical figures look on. Without any visual evidence in existence for Blackstone, Paramino used Mayor Curely as the model.

 

On the reverse side of the monument, facing Beacon Street, Paramino inscribed a selection from John Winthrop's lay sermon on "Christian Charity" and a quotation from William Bradford's History of Plymouth Plantation:

 

For we must consider that we shall be as a City upon a hill the lies of all people are are uppon us soe that if wee shall deale falsely with our God in this worke we have undertaken. Wee shall be made a story and a by-word through the world--John Winthrop on board the Arbella, 1630

 

Thus out of smalle beginnings greater shings have been produced by His Hand that made all things out of nothing...and as one small candle may light a thousand so the light here kindled hath shone to many yea in some sorte to our whole nation--Wiliam Bradford at Charles-towne, 1630

 

In graditude to God for the blessings enjoyed under a free government, the City of Boston has erected this memorial on the three hundredth anniversary of its founding--September 17th, 1630-1930

No noise makers, no party hats,

No party clothes or dancing

For the veterans and wives gathered here.

Don't know their families,

Wouldn't recognize their faces,

But if we ever had the chance to talk

I would thank them for their service

To their country and its' liberty,

To me and my liberty.

This is not a personal attack on anyone. It's just me venting on my Flickr. If you want to share an opposing view, please be constructive and objective as possible.

 

Okay, I bet this is an unpopular opinion but... I'm sick of Monster High. I'm sick of not having any of the dolls except the basic line released here, I'm sick of the fans, I'm sick of how much people must hate it or love it, I'm just sick of the whole mess.

 

The thing is, I've been wanting a Monster High doll since April 2010 and I've slowly bought a few dolls here and there, but honestly, I don't feel the need to get them all...

 

Maybe it's just me, but the mentality of "OH MY GOD, I HAVE TO BUY ALL OF THESE" along with "OH GOD, I HATE THIS DOLL BUT I'LL BUY IT ANYWAY" is really annoying to see on most of my daily doll dawdling. Like Spectra, the she-Deuce, where there was a lot of polarised opinion on her like the outfit or the execution or just the character herself. I honestly do not understand the tizzle of the 'collect them all' mentality since I don't see the point of buying a doll you're going to hate and ignore.

 

I dunno, I guess I'm just jaded to the huge amount of photos of the same dolls without much customizing or ANYTHING done to them really, even without the redressing either. I understand if you wanna keep your dolls like how you see them in promos or such, but to me, it doesn't interest me. Now keep in mind there's a lot of beautiful and well done customs but they seem to be a minority to the vast factory fresh faces I've seen.

 

EDIT: Seems I worded this part poorly. I don't expect everyone to have uber leet customizing skills or everyone has uber unique dolls and such, it's just that I come from the customizing part of the hobby and I guess I get a tad bored easily. It was never to attack anyone who doesn't customize.

 

And if someone manages to get their hands on a 'unreleased doll' there seems to be a lot of flack if they don't provide enough information or whatever. I sure hope to God I never find a doll earlier than everyone else since a lot of people seem to demand it, steal the photos and the graditude tends to be outweighed by the entitledment of the community.

 

The way pictures get stolen and shared bothers me as well. Maybe cuz I'm a whiney artist who likes to get credit where due, but I sincerely am wondering what is the point of uploading someone else's image onto your Photostream. More comments? Views? Etc? What is the point of freeloading off someone else's stuff? Yeah, I'm judging you.

 

But yeah, I guess the point is. I'm kinda done with the Monster High fandom. I mean I'll keep watching the webisodes and keeping an eye on the dolls but otherwise, I'm not really fussed on whether I get every doll or such. I say, the only dolls I'd really want would be the Dead Tired Ghoulia, Gloom Beach Frankie and the Hydration Station Lagoona due to their subdued faces. Though ironically I'd also need a Basic Frankie just to complete my repainted set.

 

Btw Clawdeen is on a Bratz body and Cleo's on a Fashionista...

New Years Eve, Houston National Cemetary, Houston

Thatta (Thatto in local language) is a historical and important city of the Sind Province of Pakistan. The city lies some 100 kilometers east of the Karachi metropolis on the National Highway.

Although Thatta is known for its history which dates back to some 2000 years, it is also known for the Shah Jahan Mosque - a masterpiece of Mughal construction. This mosque was built by Mir Abdullah on the orders of Mogul emperor Shah Jahan in 1647 A.D. It is said that Shah Jahan built this mosque as a gesture of gratitude to the people of Thatta for sheltering him during his youth after his father, Emperor Jahangir banished him from Delhi.

Y'all get a story on today's 365 too!

 

When I was a 19 year old sophomore in college, I was driving home for Christmas break. It wasn't a really horrible drive, except that it was winter in North Dakota, and a particularly nasty storm decided to hit right around Belfield, ND.

 

Well, I decided to get a motel room for the night, because there was no way I was making it through this storm--especially not at night. I woke up the next morning, ready to get going, and my car wouldn't start. It was 13 below zero and the car was just not going to go anywhere.

 

One of the guys who worked at the motel suggested that jump starting the car might work, and suggested that I run up to the motel restaurant and get Hugh to help us out. I figured Hugh was some guy who worked at the motel, so I ran up there to ask if he could help!

 

When I walked into the restaurant, I told the woman at the counter that I was looking for someone named Hugh. Much to my surprise, a man got up from his breakfast, and said that he was Hugh, and how could he help me? Well, I was a little bit (or a lot, really) embarrased at this point, because I certainly hadn't wanted to interrupt this nice man's breakfast, but he insisted upon seeing what he could do for me.

 

He came down to look at my car, and said, "Well... I have tow ropes and a heated garage. I'm just going to tow it down there to warm it up, and I'll be back after an hour or two, and it should probably start for you."

 

This man, whom I had never met, never seen before, towed my car down to his garage to let it warm up.

 

Sure enough, after about an hour, it had warmed up enough to start, and we were able to keep going. I tried to pay him, and he told me he wouldn't accept any money, but to please try to help people out when they needed helping. To pay it forward, if you will. And I really have tried, and done my best to help people when they needed help, in honor of that most stupendous favor.

 

So... if anyone out there knows a Hugh with a big heated garage from Belfield, North Dakota, please tell him how much I still appreciate what he did, and will never forget that sometimes all someone needs is a bright spot in the darkness. :-) Thank you.
