This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday is Gradient. I added some gradients and I was happy to see that Mother Nature provided some of her own...
HMMM!
a life is not a flat plane. it is a steep and unforgiving gradient. a hard line drawn between the shadow of the past and the bright, unknown summit. there are no spectators. there is only the rough texture of the concrete and the solitary rhythm of the climb. the destination is not the point. the upward movement is everything.

While I am not out on the street, thankfully, I am now officially homeless and am on the list for emergency temporary accommodation. I may find myself in a place without Internet access and could be in that position for 6-8 months or more.
Also realising just how small one bedroom apartments are means that in the next 4 weeks I have to streamline my life like never before. I will have to get rid so much of my life I fear there will be nothing left to hang on to. I know that possessions are ultimately unimportant, they are a part of our own personal stories and I am not ready to rid myself of so much of them. I have little choice.
In the 'temporary' accommodation I could also end up in the middle of nowhere. Isolated. I cannot express how terrifying this all is while suffering from C-PTSD where comfort, continuity and safety are paramount. It is taking almost all of my effort to remain in a position to be able to do even simple things.
I know that you must all be sick of hearing negative things from me. It helps me to write out and share these things and please know that when, or if, positive things happen, I will share those with fervour.
I thank you for all of your support. Every little helps. Take care.

The Swiss locomotive class Ae 4/6 was a class of electric locomotives. They were intended as a powerful locomotive for the steep gradients of the Gotthard Railway, but smaller than the huge 'double locomotives' which had previously been tested there. They were built from 1941, during World War II, and although Switzerland remained neutral through this, material shortages led to some quality problems with these locomotives. (Wikipedia)

First lights of past December month in this location, which I already wanted to catch with water.
I have been going for more than three years now and I have never seen her like this.
These last few weeks there has been a lot of rain, and I could not pass up the opportunity so on Friday afternoon I checked that there was and planned the next session at dawn to capture the orienting footbridges to the east.

Looking out over the Red Sea at sunset from Hurghada. The soft colours of the sky remind me of 90s gradient backgrounds in PowerPoint but more gracefully presented in nature.

Fourteenth picture of the series Delta Dreams.
(For this time in vertical, reverse the roles on the boats.
The sun was out and you can be appreciated just to the right of the boat in the background, all those pixels you see are hundreds of flamingos feeding in these lands so good for them.
From my position I listened to them perfectly, but due to fog were almost imperceptible)
My dreamed sunrise in the Delta of the river Ebro -Tarragona-.
The previous day, a local man explained to me a perfect location for enjoy the photograph of this beautiful land.
I consulted the parameters that night and everything was correct to travel there.
The truth is that I was impressed to get to that place, I put on my waders running to get me asap and do not lose the time.
The sun had not yet risen, the water reached my waist, good temperature, soft wind, a lot of clouds and fog surrounding the horizon, made the conditions were the best.
Many photos I've seen of this place is that in photoshop blur the horizon line with the clone tool, but there was fog and with long exposure, completely erased.
It seemed that I was doing a photo shoot in the same heaven.
I think for many more times to return to this place, I can never find anything so perfect.
This is the photo shoot I most enjoyed in recent years, have a set of at least seven impressive images.
On the technical side, say that I only used a neutral gradient three steps filter.
I hope you like it. Have a nice Friday. :)
