Day 108
Douglas Gordon (1966-)
24 Hour Psycho, 1993
Although his work encompasses film video, photography, sound and text works, Gordon became known for his slowing down of films in the ‘90’s. Here,
he slows down Hitchcock's Psycho to last twenty-four hours... I wanted to maintain the authorship of Hitchcock so that when an audience would see my 24 Hour Psycho they would think much more about Hitchcock and much less, or not at all, about me...

The Castlegate in Aberdeen was chosen as the site for this Gordon Highlanders statue because this was the site of their original 1700s barracks before moving to the Bridge of Don. Castlegate Barracks was located at the end of Union Street and Castle Street, affording views over the harbour. Sculptor: Mark Richards
I have had my running in service. The Boss came to collect last night in Oscar with the Series 1 107" on the Trailer.
My first job after the service was to take Oscar back on the Trailer, collect Anastasia and head up to Edinburgh. We eventually got there at 1:30 am.
On Friday I am to take Anastasia up to Ardfern for the weekend before I go to the big Series 2 Rally at Ripon next Wednesday.
I am really looking forward to that as there are lots of events and some trips planned both on and offroad in The Pennines and The North York Moors.
Looks like I am going to be kept busy.
There is a steep climb just outside Gordon on the Greenlaw Road which I can only get up in first gear with the best part of 2 1/2 tonnes on the back.
The Boss apologised to my gearbox for a few rather rough gear changes on the way up.

My all-time favourite car - I have photographed this one at a show before but to see it on the road and hear the burble of the Chevrolet V8 was awe-inspiring and completely unexpected. Just 100 of these beautiful vehicles were built, of which this is chassis number 68. In case anyone is wondering, that large puddle of water hadn't come out of the car!
