This huge bronze statue, designed by Sir Jacob Epstein, depicts St. Michael overcoming the Devil. Standing victorious above the Devil defeated, St. Michael symbolises the strength of good over evil.

Future butterfly, gonna spend the day higher than high
You'll be beautiful confusion
Ooh, once I was you
I saw you caught between all the people out making a scene
And a bright ideal, tomorrow
Ooh, don't go too far
Stay who you are
Everybody knows
Everybody knows
Everybody knows
You only live a day
But it's brilliant anyway
I saw you at the perfect place
It's gonna happen soon, but not today
So go to sleep, and make the change
I'll meet you here tomorrow

Where heroic bad-asses looking for a second chance fight a war among us in the shadows.
Losing both her parents to a crime of passion at a young age, shuffled from foster home to foster home. Kenzie finally took control of her own life and lived on the streets. Now she's an adult and has a hard-wired survivalist core to never be used or abused again. She's strong and no one will ever hurt her—because she will never let someone inside the one part of her that can still feel—her heart.
Lana Penchez had everything that her parent's money could buy and until they lost it all in the economy crash, the young ballet dancer had a bright future with the San Francisco Ballet Company. Now she struggles to reach for her dream and still survive. And do so, alone. Until one night when she was saved and a whole different world of shadows gives her a chance she never thought she’d have. Love.

We visited the Crescent Park Carousel today, this carousel is huge and runs from noon to 8pm on Sat / Sun. It's fabulous and I would have loved to be here when the park existed. What a fun place this must have been in it's hayday.
This is a head on one of the chariots on the carousel. It looked like a mythical battle between good and evil
Went to the Birmingham Rep to see Birmingham Repertory Company and West Yorkshire Theatre Company version of the original National Theatre adaption of Philip Pullman's "His Dark Material" (Two three hour plays adapted from the trilogy, 'Northern Lights', 'The Subtle Knife' and 'The Amber Spyglass') After 6 hours sitting down I needed a walk and just outside the theatre was this empty piazza.
By the way the play was enthralling, thought provoking, stimulating, allegorical, and suitable for all ages. The audience ranged from four year olds to eighty four year olds!
This was my second ever pointillism. I messed up on the dude's mouth, resulting in him looking very much more ugly, and also more feminine...>.<
I was astonished at seeing the dynamism of this scene: a diable and an angel are taking out the souls of the two thieves directly from their mouths; just a foot is still inside... I find it a really beautiful piece of art.

Zinkendschip in Plasticsoep.
Sinking ship in plastic soup. martijn van Dalen translated the essence of Bosches work (which is the battle between gooed and evil), to our present days. He sustituted the religious believe in the middle ages for the nowadays climatechange., thus showing the dayly battle of modern men: which is one of a commercial world in which we dayly are buying plastics in the supermarket. , while we know the consequenses; "Sinking ship in Plastic Soup"
In Bosches time the battle between good and evil often took place in religion, the church and superstition. Jheronimous should have feld this too.
