Let me start off by giving a round of applause for Jeanna on choosing a very hard concept/idea! I honestly had no idea what it meant to me until we were in the snow setting the scene then it came to me.

"And the Lord God said to the woman, 'What is this you have done?' And the woman said, 'The serpent beguiled me, and I ate.'" Genesis 3:13

A lot of times we can find ourselves torn between living the way God intends us to, and living the way we want to. I am guilty of this myself. In the garden, Eve wanted the knowledge but knew that the Lord did not want her eating from the tree. Despite that she went on and ate and then shared with her husband. Well, you know how the story goes.

All the decisions we make in life have a consequence or end result. If we know we won't like the outcome, then why don't we change our action or decision? Because we are humans and as long as we live on this sin-filled Earth, we will always be torn between Good and Evil.

I think that AI image generation is similar in many ways to photography. The camera itself handles all the fine details, but the photographer is in charge of curating the types of images that will be created.

Ultimately, it is all about maximizing the probability that something good will be created.

This is very similar to AI image generation, in terms of the skills involved and what the human does vs. what the machine does.

You can't compare AI image generation to the process of actually making these images from scratch with 3D software or paint/pencils, where the human controls every detail.

However, I think the process really is very similar to that of photography, as I made the case for above.

This is my first attempt at a color pencil illustration. I wanted to portray a metaphor of Janusz Korczak (symbolized by the flag of the Dom Sierot in the center) leading his children from the Warsaw Ghetto to a more peaceful world in the heavens, where butterflies - not present in the ghetto - fly free (the butterflies themselves based on illustrations by children in Terezin). The geraniums growing out of the hardened lava symbolize Korczak's favorite flower, which he described at the very end of his Ghetto Dairy, in the same entry as his thoughts of the German soldier outside his window - that even out of hardened rubble the good and beautiful can grow.

Lucas Cranach the Elder

Adam and Eve are depicted at the fateful moment they disobey God. Hoping to know, like God, good and evil, Eve bites into a fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, the only forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden. After hesitating, Adam will take the fruit and the couple will be banished in punishment. Cranach's rendering of the peaceful animals creates a sense of serenity, soon to be lost.

Cranach and his workshop made over 50 versions of this subject. This painting is one of the largest and most beautiful. His seductive depiction of nude figures and nature heightens the theme of temptation, central to this biblical story. Cranach painted his coat of arms (a serpent with a ring) and the date of the work in white on the tree trunk.

Things do not look good at all for our little German friends.

What a fabulous childhood find. This adorable print is 7" x 9" absolutely perfect; flat and smooth... without dings or bumps. The paper is a lovely crisp quality too... finished with a soft and subtle sheen.

Quite amazing considering it's 90 years old.

The famous adventurer Laura Jones gets a letter from Professor Adams about a strange ancient talisman. The talisman turns to be one of the keys to the Mystical Gates preserving the source of sacred powers of Art, Love, Strength, Will, Talent and Knowledge. I wasn't going to use this photo at first, but the color and the light and the shadow were too amazing to pass over.

Twice now I have been given apples by the same person. Once in reference to Snow White. Today, out of kindness I suppose.

In Snow White, poor Snow was lured in by the poisonous apple and fell into a deep slumber that could only be broken by true love's kiss.

Popular Western Christian tradition holds that Adam and Eve ate an apple from the forbidden tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden, thus making it the forbidden fruit.

The apple has become a symbol of knowledge, immorality, temptation, the fall of man, and sin. The latter four are usually blamed on Eve.

In both of my apple situations, I, the woman, have not been the one offering the apple; asking the other to eat of the forbidden fruit...
