Life is so full of unexpected twists. They often distract you from pursuing and achieving your goal. The key, of course, is to refocus.
I tweaked this map from another goal-setting map, so I can't take all the credit. But I hope it motivates you to aim for something this coming month of May! Or even this week...
You really could not ask for anything more than being able to watch your sons play soccer with friends on a local beach without a care in the world.
To all those teams who are through to the last 16 well done and good luck for the next round. This pelican did the diski dance for us while he was feeding - was this Oezil or Defoe?

1) Get this room neatened up.
2) Actually KNIT something. I can knit, but I have not actually knitted anything.
3) Build my sewing skills. I learned to sew finally, now I need to get good at it.
4) Do some beadwork. I have been a beader for more than 1/2 my life, I was beading before I was a wife and mother, but I took a hiatus for my baby boy in 2012. Now I would like to start beading again.
5) Learn to embrace my inner goth girl. I will say I don't like goth dolls, except sometimes -- I do. Why fight it?
6) Pay cash for everything. I have just gotten all the credit cards paid off and I feel SO FREE, do not use credit, just pay for it. I am not in the habit of putting toys on credit, but there's this newly empty plastic now. JUST DON'T.
7) Always, be a better wife, mom and child of God.
Liverpool winger Albert Riera (out of shot) smashes the ball beyond the diving Preston goalkeeper Andy Lonergan as it hits the back of the net, in the FA Cup 3rd Round match played at Deepdale, Preston between Preston North End and Liverpool. The goal, scored mid way through the first half was deserved as Liverpool dominated the first hour.
Preston came back strong but failed to score and eventually Fernando Torres scored a 2nd goal for Liverpool in the last few seconds of the game to secure a 2-0 win for the Premiership team.
One of my goals on this trip was a sunrise from Hopi Point. I got here early. I caught this moon set.
I took a little winter trip to the South Rim. Hardly any crowds at this time of year. Temperatures in the upper 20's during the day, mid teens at night with windchills into the single digits. I am well prepared for these temperatures and was comfortable most of the time. I stayed at the El Tovar Lodge.

This viewpoint offers panoramic and breathtaking views of the canyon along the scenic Hermit Road. An ideal location for sunrise or sunset, Hopi Point also offers five views of the Colorado River. Vault toilets available.

Stop number four along the west rim shuttlebus (the red route) is Hopi Point, the northernmost spot on this part of the south rim, and the first point where much more of the western Grand Canyon comes into full perspective - another 20 miles, since the Colorado begins a big bend northwards, allowing views all the way to Havasupai Point and the Great Scenic Divide. Hopi Point has a fenced viewing area next to the road, and a vista over the canyon centered on Dana Butte, a flat mesa 2,000 feet below the overlook. Salt Creek runs to one side, meeting the Colorado at a series of rapids, while Monument Creek is on the other side, joining the river at another set (Granite Rapids).
Opposite Hopi Point on the North Rim are a group of prominent mesas either side of Trinity Creek, named after figures from ancient Egypt - largest are Isis Temple, Horus Temple and Osiris Temple. Like many other Grand Canyon features their names were assigned by writer and geologist Clarence Dutton in the 1880s.
Because of the wide-ranging, unobstructed views, Hopi is the most popular place on the west rim for watching the sun set.
