My daughter and I are working our way through the Jamba Juice menu. It is our new goal to try everything they make.

My goal with this series is to explore every day scenes under the cover of darkness. A street corner, a lamp post, a doorway. Big city, small town, urban, rural. Man-made light versus nature’s darkness–––light and shadow interpreting minimalist settings in black and white. To see more in this series, check out Cover Of Darkness
The goal of the seminar was to develop and realize for the Lichtparcours 2000 an artwork that was related to water power. It was realized as a joint student effort. The Institut für Architekturbezogene Kunst belongs to the Architecture Department at the Technische Universität Braunschweig. So here we are... achievement unlocked: 7000 followers. Thank you all, truly, I'm overwhelmed with the love <3.
Some of us have personal goals that we set for ourselves, long ago, I had descided that this was it, and now that I'm here... I'm not really sure what to do with myself.
A few things are coming to mind: Continue blogging for a few of my long-term sponsors and events, possibly get back into creating some new BOM stuff, or straight out retire.
Maybe it's a ten year itch, a Mid-(second)Life-Crisis... who knows, it will likely pass... just know that I have no more expectations of myself or anyone else, it's super empowering.
At the start of 2018, I told myself that this would be the year that I would complete the Centennials (the highest 100 mountains in Colorado). For no great reason, I wanted to finish my goal before I turned 40 (I'm 39). It was a somewhat lofty goal considering I had lost my job in January, started a new job in February, and was not in the best physical shape of my life. I started this goal officially in 2009 and game out of the gates in a hurry. I had a headstart, having started climbing peaks when I was 4-years-old (1982). I had completed 22 / 100 by the end of 1998 when I was in college, but took a very long hiatus after that. I only completed 5 more peaks from 1998 to 2008. That means that between 2009 and the end of 2018, I completed 73 of the highest 100 mountains. That feels substantial.
I completed this goal and took the time to reflect upon that accomplishment by gazing at the Milky Way from Crater Lake below the Maroon Bells.
A few thanks are in order -
Thanks to Silas Musick for being such an amazing climbing partner. We celebrated on 14 of those 100 summits together and I consider you my best friend - all because of our mutual passion for mountains and the outdoors. You're a beautiful human.
Thanks to Natalie Moran for taking me up Jagged, Dallas, and Teakettle. You're a fabulous climber and a great person.
Thanks to Terry Matthews (RIP) for accompanying me on my first class 3 climbs in 2008 when I got back into this pursuit. You are missed.
Thanks to Ethan Beute - our climbs on obscure 13ers kept me going - miss you man!
Thanks to Regina Primavera - you're a great friend and it has been fun catching summits with you since 2011.
And lastly, thanks to my parents for getting me going on this crazy journey 35 years ago.
I created my little website in 2009 mostly to teach myself how to build one but also to document and share my journey with my friends and family. I know my dad regrets not having something similar to look back on. Hope it’s at least been somewhat useful to others as well.
Next up? I have no idea. I don't think it’s the bi-centennials.
I have some photography projects I want to tackle, including a book of photos of the Centennials...

Instead of watching football last friday, I ran outside and searched in the polder for a nice field with crop. In my neighbourhood farmers don't care about leading lines, the fields are a mess but the sky compensated the lack of a good foreground.
Captain Shahril's shot in the second half resulted in the 2nd goal of the match, a lone effort. Bravo Shahril...
The result of this FA Cup match was LionsXII 2, Bateria FC 0.

My goal today was to run a few miles on the local high school track, but I quickly became preoccupied with the trees in the area.
Most of the autumn leaves have fallen off the trees here in Washington. The abondance of fall colors is slowly starting to fade away.
Commit your way to the LORD,trust also in Him,&He shall bring it to pass.PSALM 37:5*
Anytime people set goals for their lives that require great striving, intense frustation, repeated failures,&manipulation of others-that is an unrealistic goal.
It is not within the realm of their God-given talents&abilities. It is beyond GODs plan&purpose for their life. Now,Im not saying that the achievement of goals doesnt require effort, education, training,or the development of skills.
Those factors are always necessary in the attainment of any goal that is worthy.God doesnt give us talents&abilities that are fully developed. He requires that we sharpen them&mature in their use.
ITs another thing entirely to commit yourself to becoming an opera singer when you cant carry a tune in a bucket.

Early on in the COVER OF DARKNESS series, I shot a couple gas stations. They were not initially the type scene I was looking to capture, but when I came across one late at night, bright and isolated in the darkness, it was impossible for me to resist, so I continue to shoot them. I have now shot enough that they have become a series-within-the-series. For a look at them as a collection, check out, Gas Stations
