Luce Bay, Scotland, UK.
I am currently working for the Countrywide Great Tour, a 64 day cycling challenge around the coastline of the entire UK. I will try and post daily photos as we travel. More information can be found below. This shot is from the ninth day in the water at Luce Bay in Scotland, with the Gopro.
Please take a look at my Facebook Page and follow me for more travel photos:
Wednesday while I had my bike out to cycle to the market, I took a short loop up through the University of Victoria
(UVic) grounds.
Seen here are Sinclair Rd. views from Haro Road Xing between UVic and Frank Hobbs Elementary School grounds.
This entire distance connects the roundabout at Cadboro Bay Rd. with the roundabout at Finnerty Rd.
Note the Big Dipper at left and the pointer stars aligned to Polaris (North Star - near center). This ultra wide angle field of view is 170 degrees.
This time lapse ran from 3 to 4 AM (MDT).
Star Trails taken with my GoPro HERO6. Not as good as my DSLR, but not terrible either. I set the camera to nightlapse mode with 30 second exposures. Ended up with 150 shots in about 1.5 hours. Then, I stacked them in Starstax and used the comet effect to bring out a bit of the Milky Way. Cars going by created some light trails as well. I did some minor edits in Lightroom and got this edit! Enjoy!
