Go-around - JA865J Japan Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner coming in from Tokyo (NRT / RJAA) and going around due to traffic on runway 25L @ Frankfurt - Rhein-Main International (FRA / EDDF) / 29.03.2017
Stack of approximately 50 shots, as I didn't use a ND filter.
I would appreciate your critiques and comments. Thanks
Not sure if this A380 should have been that close to the this busy road, but there were no reported incidents.. I was lucky to catch it just crossing the sun at the right time :-p
Edit (11/02/15):
One thing I realised, probably minutes after uploading, (but couldn't be bothered to fix it), was I made a mess of the shadow size. It's far too small, especially for an A380....
Interesting article here about light.
In particular (for me anyway):
This Question: "Size of the shadow of an airplane shadow"
****
Ok, a bit of a work in progress and not really finished, but my usual sliders sunday rules apply: Spent about an hour putting the plane in and creating the shadow/lens flare etc. Saved it there, slept on it and decided it wasn't totally the glass of red taking over and didn't scrap it there. I then spent about another hour reading tutorials and how to put some jet wash/heat haze effect in this morning. Like I say a WIP and really do need to photograph some more aircraft (instead of using this same one all the time). I do quite enjoy doing these (yes I did make some thrust noises as I was drawing in the jet wash).

these guys literally headed for the hills of Lantau Island with this weird-a$$ go-around they did?! According to flightradar they were climbing through 3000ft at this point (at most, judging from standing underneath) , which is rather "optimistic" considering the height of the terrain around here...wonder if the Big Bhudda is still up on its hill??

It may look like a normal approach on short final of KE601 from Seoul/ICN, but only moments later the pilot flying performed a go-around before touching down at 25R.
The second approach 20 minutes later was successful, and the plane landed safely on this very runway.

An old-scheme 738 seen here initiating a go-around while on final approach for runway 01.
The conditions were extremely windy with crosswinds and gusts, and this was one of a number of go-arounds we witnessed that afternoon before they changed runways.
