When approaching runway 07L about to complete a service from Shanghai/PVG, flight MU507 was ordered to go-around as the runway wasn't yet vacated from the plane which landed beforehand.
The aircraft is pictured here performing the go-around, it landed safely 15 minutes later on the same runway.
Life really is like go-around!

First flight of the Airbus A320NEO A320-251N N323FR (MSN 7925, F-WWBG) for Frontier Airlines, making an approach before go-around at the end of its maiden flight. Note the pilots kept the gear up until close to the runway, so the beautiful silhouette of the aircraft is kept clean and shiny. Powered by two CFM LEAP-1A26 turbofan engines.

sometimes you just get lucky! not only a break in the downpour, then just enough vis to catch an HKA A332 doing a missed approach/go-around on the parallel runway;
that's why the 07L missed approach procedure is a bit funky (with lots of turns over a short distance)

Unremarkable shot of an MD90 (Delta 1687) flying directly over the aircraft viewing area at MSP on a 150 heading due to a go around on an approach to runway 12R. Alaska 37 had just started its takeoff roll on the same runway. Not a big deal...it happens occasionally during the busy evening arrival rush especially when runway 35 can't be used simultaneously as an exclusive arrival runway.
The tower controller apparently was dealing with a number of handoffs coming to him a little "hot" from the approach controller. Shortly after this, an exchange with another arrival went like this:
Tower: "Delta 1503, I show a 60-knot overtake on the Citation ahead."
[...]
Delta 1503: "Yeah, the guy brings us in kind of fast."
Tower: "I've noticed. He's been doin' it for about an hour."
Delta 1503: "Talk to him. We're high and fast."
Sounds like a fun day at the office. :P

The third prototype A350-1000 (MSN 65) performing a Go-Around while landing in Hamburg Finkenwerder XFW/EDHI after a cabin flight test. The Go-Around was no emergency, just two ships were on the flight path on the river Elbe and the aircraft, which has to cross the river to land at XFW, has to climb and try once again. The Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 high-bypass turbofan engines are spooling up as the pilots slammed the throttles forward and are making quite some smoke. This sight would be expected from a Boeing 707, but not from a space-age carbon fibre 350 :) Joking aside, the smoke lasted only a second.
Differences over the A350-900 include:
- longer fuselage (from 66.8m to 73.78m)
- more passenger capacity (from 325 to 366 for typical layout)
- increased MTOW (from 280t to 308t)
- more powerful Rolls-Royce Trent engines (XWB-97 with 97.000 lbf compared to XWB-84 with 84.000 lbf)
- three axle main gear bogie with six wheels compared to two axles and four wheels
- slightly increased wing area (cca 4%)
- vortex generators on both inboard and outboard engine cowling sides to maintain take-off and landing performance

Powering up and flaps up for a go-around on runway 29.
By far one of the most dramatic landings I've ever seen!... hit the engine, that caught fire, went around, shut the engine down and came back from a successful landing on three engines.
This shot was the front page of the Hong Kong Standard newspaper the next day.
I have loaded this before but this is a better scan.

This was the closest call that I've ever seen, we were all wondering if the control tower was asleep as the LATAM didn't start his go-around till the last minute. The LATAM was heading for 27 & GOL was landing on 30.
