This shot really does not do McCaw Hall and the adjacent Kreielsheimer Promenade justice. One of the challenges of shooting with black and white film is attempting to visual what the subject mater will look like in monochrome. How will the color tones translate to different scales of black and white?
My black and white Holga shot fell short in conveying the beauty of this space. McCaw Hall, home to the Seattle Symphony and the Pacific Northwest Ballet, is a beautiful glass building accompanied by a pomade with a series of glowing, transparent scrims float overhead. The instillation titled 'Dreaming in Color' (perhaps an indication why it doesn't' translate well in monochrome?) puts off soft toned colored lights which reflect against the glass windows of the Hall. This is a space I will defiantly need to re-explore with color film.

The crashing ocean meets the calm sound in a very narrow opening at the top of this island. waves have routinely crashed over the bridge & one hurricane dislocated the bridge 8 feet. They have yet to fix it!

Boven de ingang van de kapel, in de westgevel, bevindt zich tegenwoordig een modern gebrandschilderd glasinloodraam, dat werd geplaatst bij een herdenking van de herbouw van de kapel, en ter nagedachtenis aan Josef Everaert, een plaatselijke amateurhistoricus en toneelschrijver. Door een van zijn toneelwerken: "Adriaan Vylain", een historiestuk waarin de kapel van Onze Lieve Vrouw ter Eecken werd vernoemd, werd het idee opgevat om de kapel op de oorspronkelijke plaats te herbouwen.
Over the entrance of the chapel, in the westwall, nowadays there is a modern stained glasswindow. This window is placed at the remebrance of the rebuild and restauration of the chapel, and at the remambrance of Josef Everaert, a local amator historic an stage writer. By one of his works: "Adriaan Vylain", a historic play in which the chapel of "Onze Lieve Vrouw ter Eecken"(Our Lady at the oak) was mentioned, the idea was caught to rebuild the chapel at the original place.
