Five LED's in a Christmas mood!
Believe it or not, but none of the components are powered...
A green laser beam hits the LED's from the right while a desk lamp is responsible for the white light from the top.
The parts lie on a plexiglas panel and there is a red printed circuit board (PCB) underneath.
The biggest LED's are 10 mm in diameter while the smaller one are 5 mm.
The suits and/or VIPs in observation saloon "Caroline" have a grandstand view of the climb to Copy Pit Summit as heritage class 37 no. 37409 "Lord Hinton" does all the hard work behind. The train is the 8.29am Crewe - Crewe (2Z02).
The train has just passed the county boundary into Lancashire, but Yorkshire lovers can still enjoy the view, and especially that of Carr Road winding and climbing by the row of terrace houses and up to the top of Low Moor.
I did take the going away shot with the loco as the main subject, but couldn't give up on a glorious scene like this.

Here's wishing everyone a happy American Thanksgiving. And for the rest of you--have the kind of day where you give thanks for all that you have. It's a wonderful world out there--if you take the time to see it.
Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
I went out early this morning to chase some light and I ran across this interesting scene with a white donkey inside a cabin. You never know what you'll find outside your door.
NOTE: I did not clone or add this donkey into this image, it was standing there as you see it.
Flowering well into Autumn giving insects a late feeding station. Its fruit is lifeline for many birds and creatures through the winter months.

Thank you so much ! ; )
In Canada, today is Thanksgiving Day, a time to give thanks for our many blessings. In a war-raved world, beset with disasters of fire, flood and wind, and where much injustice exists, I give thanks I live in stable country, with much beauty in every corner, where all are welcome and free.

No more sad times, mad, or bad times
No more minor keys
Life's for living, sharing, giving
Life's for you and me
When the going's rough and you've had enough
Leave your troubles and your woes
Turn the other cheek and forget your grief
Make a friend out of your foe
Give me a happy ending every time
We'll kiss and make up
That's a very peaceful sign
Give me a happy ending every time
Don't be unhappy, everything will work out fine
I couldnt help it..

Wow where did the time go.. laughs. :)
I'd give a body part to be in Havasu right now and catch this kind of sunrise rather than watching the sun rise in my rear view mirror as I drive to work. My life has settle into a rut that is B.O.R.I.N.G.
I'm craving the open road, adventure, excitement and something to do rather than paperwork all day.
I was siting in one of the many places available to me at the Alligator Farm, and happen to look up and see this big guy staring !
A typical day at the British seaside, mist, rain, drizzle, mizzle, and freezing cold, thank goodness for the seafront shelters.

I am delighted with the good photos that the theme of the week has given! Congratulations to all of you, you're all craks!
Give me poison I want to live.
Using the syringe to make the water drops, this picture came up, remembering hard moments of a family illness.
But with the pandemic we're living through, it fits too.
The composition is a gauze in the foreground, the syringe because almost everything they put in a vein contains water, in the background some pills and I put a little color with some flowers because the purpose of all this is to give a color to life.
Greetings and happy week.

Saludos y feliz semana.
Joy is something other than pleasure. Joy is the feeling of being in sync with life, in tune with Mystery. One may have all the pleasure in the world and yet feel out of tune with life; but one may, by contrast, be screaming in anguish and yet hear deep inside the music of joy, a counterpoint bass line as it were, to shrieks of pain—labor pain it will turn out to be if one is in tune with life.

Looking through my files, I couldn't find a good Halloween image, so I made one by blending two different photos:
1 - Night sky with full moon and clouds;
2 - Macro shot of the side of an old car (for those who follow my photostream, the 1939 Pontiac that has been a source of inspiration for me for almost two decades) that reminded me of a flying witch and assorted other creepy things.
Over the next few days I will post some recent shots of the aforementioned car. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

I am delighted each year when my Thanksgiving Cactus blooms. It's different from a Christmas Cactus. You can tell because they have different leaves. Though the flowers seem pink, this is a White blossom.
So, VersaEmerge had some technical difficulties at their SXSW Purevolume show. Blake's 9 volt battery died, and no one had another one.
Kinda funny how you can't play an electric/acoustic without a battery.
But since no one had another battery available, they just decided to get down to our level, and play a zero electricity involved song, in the crowd, less than a foot away from me.
:))))
Thank you VersaEmerge, for giving me one of the best concert experiences in a long time.
Here is a link to a funny take on this idea by Jack Handey which was in the New Yorker. www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/10/17/never-give-up
I found it troubling and incredibly timely with the current situation in the world. If you have the time to read it, it takes the idea of never giving up to an absurd level.
I don't believe we should never give up but perhaps there are times that we need to shift our ideas and expectations. Please, if you are struggling, don't give up! Reach out and let someone know what you are going through.
I'm back !!!!,
so beware ...............;-))))))

Grizzly nostrils during the spin cycle, LOL
I was shooting with a pretty slow shutter speed when he started shaking the water off his head. He was just sitting in the river by the banks under some willow branches grabbing a salmon here and there as they'd float by him. Was hoping I'd get at least one nostril in focus. I did, LOL. Thought it made for a kinda cool shot
I hope you can view this on a larger screen. You'll get a much better appreciation for the photo
