Children both young and old came out to enjoy our Gingerbread House Workshop, which was led by Executive Pastry Chef Adam Young and Chef Mike Shields.

We cut out many tiny rectangles and hoped to form a geodesic ball out of them.

The first Gingerbread House Competition among local bakeries and pastry chefs was held at Le Parker Meridien Hotel this year in what I hope will be a new tradition. It was displayed in their lobby and smelled great.

Gingerbread Houses at Laurel Point Inn 2012

I took this of "Ginger" the Gingerbread girl and all of her adventures while she stayed with us here in San Diego. She is part of a first grade class project up in Portland Oregon. I took lots of photos of Ginger and made a book that included maps, postcards and facts about San Diego.
