I got to make gingerbread houses with my little cousins. I think I had as much fun as they did! Here the house is, completed. It never got eaten, but, wow, it was fun to make!

the 2011 Christmas gingerbread at the Colorado Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation. Much like Pompeii, the remains were carefully excavated. Unlike Pompeii, they were then eaten.

Gingerbread cookies out of the oven. I used Martha Stewarts recipe out of her Christmas book.

These darling Gingerbread House earrings are made for dolls. They specifically fit Monster High ear lobes. However, they do fit in most Barbie Doll ear lobes.

 

The Gingerbread House earrings are hand sculpted by me from various fun colors of polymer. I've added a red glass bead for the door handle. The earring loops are wire wrapped with silver wire and the ear posts are made from surgical steel. The ear posts are set at an angle for a more secure 'anchoring' in the dolls ears.
