Opposite the V&A Museum in London is a staggering pop up show called "Gingerbread City" featuring architects models made entirely out of Gingerbread. The smell is intoxication and after visiting the show you will want to head straight to the nearest patisserie. On until the end of December 2016.

I rolled the gingerbread dough out on foil, cut out the pattern, and took the excess dough off of the foil. then i slid the foil onto a baking sheet. This helps keep the dough from stretching before baking.

This is my first attempt at a gingerbread house. I made a card template and then use that to cut out all the pieces. My 4 year old son and I had great fun decorating this but my 2 year old daughter kept pinching the sweets as soon as they were stuck on!
These Gingerbread Men Cookies are as cute as can be. If desired, decorate with raisins, currants or cinnamon red hot candies for eyes and buttons. Or, pipe untinted or Colorful Royal Icing onto cookies.
Makes 2 dozen or 24 (1 cookie) servings.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Refrigerate Time: 4 hours
Cook Time: 8 to 10 minutes per batch
Ingredients:
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons McCormick® Ginger, Ground
1 teaspoon McCormick® Cinnamon, Ground
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Nutmeg, Ground
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 egg

to make windows i cut out the holes/windows and crushed up some colorful hard candy and arranged it in the hole/window how i wanted it. then i baked them. if you want clear, i wouldn't recommend putting the pieces in at the beginning they will turn brown if in there too long.
