For my 2010 Christmas card, I created this festive illustration called Santa's Gift.
It was painted with watercolour and watercolour crayon.
An old style I`ve not practiced for some long time.
Hope she likes it :]
She likes drawing, rabbits, "back to the future" and ugly drawings of mine.

Ok, so I changed my mind about my Christmas card yesterday. I though yesterday's shot was too dull for a card and so I went with this one that has a little more color and sparkle. What do you think? Better? I wish my window in the background had snow, though...
So now all I have to do is send them. And I haven't started my Xmas shopping either. And I have gift boxes that I need to send to my family and friends in Spain too. And three winter birthday parties to plan. Arrgghhh... So when am I going to have time for Flickr??
Taken in Bayswater, Victoria, Australia. Photographed using the Kodak Hawkeye (name variant of the Kodak Baby Hawkeye) and Rera Pan 100 (a brand of 127 film).
They were working around the clock on the new train station, trying to get it done as quickly as possible.
The Kodak Baby Hawkeye is a box camera from the 1930s, made in the UK. It was a very low-end model, with a fixed-focus lens, one shutter speed, and one aperture. I read that it was often given away as a promotional gift. It does not really have a viewfinder, though a piece of metal wire helps (very little) with the composition. It is very hard to hold the camera steady. Nevertheless, I enjoy using it, because it is one of the oldest working cameras I have.

I purchased a daylily as a gift for my dear friend, Rita, a few years back. It was a small token as she has given me many divisions of her perennial over the years. Last fall she gave me a division of this one. It's my only "double' Daylily.

I've been rearranging my miniature storage, & I keep running across things I forgot I had. I bought these when I was trying to create my food store because I needed many multiples of things.
In order to take this picture, I had to put a tiny piece of earthquake putty on the back of each can & stick it to the box to keep them facing forward. Then I had to take the putty off of them. Talk about suffering for your art :-)
This gift horse was built for the castle section at Brickcon08...but history proves that the Trojan Horse was more than meets the eye. As I usually build cars, they didn’t know they’re getting it until now…but will they accept it with open arms…or treat it as a nasty virus? Only time will tell.
