On a late winter's afternoon, with the sun low, the Dakota building towers look very ghostly in the background of Central Park.
Tall ships once graced the docks along this part of the river. Now we only have this ghostly reminder.

ISBN 978-1723800887 ) it felt so good to be out with my trusty camera again. Really missed taking pictures and browsing on flickr but just couldn't find the time to do both. Many thanks for any comments and favs.
The beach at Banff Bay one December day in 2020. I can't remember what lockdown rules were in place then - but the beach was quite deserted!
Shot here in infrared with my Nikon D90 that has been converted to shoot only in IR 720nm.

A couple people asked about my leaf images...I've actually made a few in the past couple weeks and was unhappy with the results. I usually have to see some color or shape design..or some theme that I'm reminded of..to continue with the image.
Sometimes the details of the leaf are more eye catching then the colors. Other times, as in this case, I'm disappointed with the details, but love the colors. The spooky green mist at the top along with the way the veins glow an eerie blue gave this leaf a haunted feel.
The fearless fairy has come face to face with a strange ghostly figure. She is puzzled and wonders what it wants ??
I can't really explain why I would take a photo of glue sticks but I did. They are smooth and clear with vitually no detail.
She sits alone, softly playing her violin...suddenly a sound behind her, perhaps just the hot crackling of the fire
ok, in the spirit of Halloween coming up this weekend I thought I would share this image that appeared amongst my photos of the past year; I know I don't believe in ghosts, but I've yet to be able to explain the light which appears in this image; it wasn't visible in any other of my shots that day. . . .

From autumn last year comes this somewhat ghostly image. Interesting to be able to hear her shoes echo in the heavy fog, but not able to see her for some time....slowly she emerged like a ghost appearing....scenes like this really appeal to my love for horror films... :)
