Trying to get all my stuff in order for chronological posting...I just realized that my current situation is the one that I always hoped for: I shoot far more than I edit, more time on the field than in front of the pc screen. That's encouraging, I feel way better with this new pace, I simply have to keep it smooth and not lose control over the many files i pile up in my freetime.
These shots come from roughly the same days and are meant as a tribute to spring bloom in all of its glory. I am still stunned with the beauty and the nuances of the different flowers, from the yellow-purple lanes to the high branches of magnolias or peach-trees. I have experienced the possibility of a bw portrait of sprig-which will come later- but for now I am doing this colorful celebration.
Decided i wanted to take a 365 with Bella when I got home from work today...i was orginally going to do it in the backyard, however looney tunes' dogs were out there and would have knocked over my camera. So we went out into the front yard. I tired a few pics with her on the leash and decided that she was doing so well at staying close by in the yard, i would unleash her. This was the best i could do on a 12 sec timer.....for the most part she got bored of sitting next to me after 8 secs and would start to walk off.
Which brings me to tomorrow....my parents are coming by my work to see me and bring me my....REMOTE!!!!! This is going to make self portrait taking SO much easier!!! I am excited :)

This is my personal view of life. Sometimes it gets a little messy but we can always clean it up. Life with kids is always messy if done correctly. Kids learn to be creative and go with it. They also can learn how to use a broom and dust pan at a fairly young age. My boy knows how to do both. =)

I journeyed out to the open field at the park and joined my scruffy little tree to watch the sunset. These are in reverse order, but you’ll get the picture about why walking up to view a sunset should take a bit longer than three minutes. I’ve seen people walk up and take a photo and turn around and leave. Maybe it’s what they wanted out of the scene. Who knows? I wanted to show that it took over an hour to develop and for the colors to manifest themselves in the clouds and at one point I almost gave up on this view and headed to the house. Some people may like the golden tones in the cloud as the sun was setting , but I must say that the final display in fire was quite impressive. We have a unique situation here when large thunderstorms develop and grow quite tall as the sun heats up the air in Texas. As the sun sets, the formations are torn apart by the high winds aloft and the cloud is stretched over the sky and lit up by the sun receding over the horizon. They are infinitely variable. Me and my scruffy little tree thoroughly enjoyed the time together.
