Sahil, a neighbor kid, enjoying his Holi getup.

Sneaking onto S&Z's land, I posed with a few of their tree decorations in a truly mad getup - I love taking mad photos, and these definitely fit the bill. I used ROT windlight and fotor.com to edit and re-colour the pictures by adjusting contrast, saturation, brightness and applied colour washes. The poses themselves come from the new 'Strut' box from my store, :::fte::: Animations. Please feel free to check out the products by following the links below.

Ready to go for a stroll outdoors - luckily we wont need her winter stuff anymore

Here is a photo of the whole getup.

Cheeky doesn’t even begin to describe this getup!

The #mycalvins Denim Series launch may have been to honor Kendall Jenner, but it was her sister, Kylie, rocking one especially teeny shorts ensemble, that stole the show on Thursday, April 23.

I had to wear this getup to MCI. So what I'm wearing is a suave suit jacket, a manly surf shirt under that, sophisticated pinstriped baseball pants, some sick Under Armour shades and awesome possum red Under Armour socks with the vintage red Converses, and to top it all off, the patented "Wilbur Robinson" hairstyle. Yes, we at MCI are pretty crazy.

Its hard to believe how many getups does Sealdah Rajdhani has overall and everyday it comes up with something very new.Its not very pleasing to see such mixups and i am one of those favouring uniformity in livery.GZB WAP-7 30294 takes a snake path towards GZB with SDAH Rajdhani.

In their defense, those Jap getups weren't totally and completely racist at the time.

I was pretty happy with how my tie turned out, so I took a picture.

Sunday's are for Sarah McSimmons tree trimmin' and mile long buffet. I'm so full and sleepy I dunno if I can even get these uploaded before zzzzzzzzzzz.

Getup! organised a rally on Saturday morning 12 March 2011, in support of the Gillard Government's announcement for pricing carbom from July 1st 2012, outside the Prime Ministerial offices in Treasury Place. The rally was organised to counter a rally by climate deniers and those opposed to a carbon price outside Julia Gillard's electoral office.

The numbers tell the story: an estimated 8000 in support of a carbon price, 200 against. Tony Abbott has appealed for a tax revolt, but the one thing we need in Australia to move forward on acting on climate change is a carbon price to be set. This will provide the certainty to drive business investment in carbon pollution reduction.

A carbon price can start relatively low and progressively increase to drive the change in business investment required. The irony is that the Labor Government is proposing a market based mechanism to ultimately set the carbon price while the opposition policies for carbon reduction involve huge subsidies from general revenue as incentives to reduce the worst polluters to change behaviour. Opposition policies can not easily ramp up to increase carbon pollution reduction.

Treasury Place was full of people with many spilling in to the Treasury Gardens with some street theatre.

Always trust Julie to have the grooviest American Girl outfits! Her holiday attire is no exception. These ensembles are so delightfully gaudy and nostalgic. Only the newest one, shown on the far right, was purchased directly from American Girl. My other two getups were from eBay and were in slightly used condition. I quickly picked out her original Christmas Outfit on eBay, back in 2014, shortly after I got my first Julie doll (the model). I wanted her to have festive attire for the holiday season, though this outfit was still available on the AG website. I've used it for years and years, and it's probably the best quality of the three (though the newest one is pretty close in terms of craftmanship). I personally would have been mortified if Mom made me wear something like this as a kid. I did not like anything velvety, and I absolutely despised dresses. But it is so fun for my dolls. You'll note that these three fashions all share similarities: they are long sleeved, paired with tights, and have black shoes. These sandals are the only open toed shoes though. I adore the embroidered detailing on the jumper.

The outfit in the middle I put off getting until after it retired. There were so many new Beforever clothes released in a short time frame, and I couldn't afford to order new AG stuff very often back then. I picked this out from an eBay seller for Christmas 2020, who also had her Zigzag Pajamas and second basketball uniform. The pattern of this dress is my favorite. It doesn't feel quite as authentically 70s as the other two, but the print is very bohemian.

I admit I overlooked Julie's newest Christmas dress for years. Since I only had one Julie doll plus Ivy (who has her own New Year's ensemble), it wasn't a priority. I finally decided to get it on sale for Christmas 2022. I was blown away by how soft and thick it was. I don't like how Julie's hair is styled with this dress in stock images...the tight bun looks weird on her. So I always just use the bow on a clip, perched at the back of her head. I guess you could say this is Jolene's Christmas outfit officially, since I was given her around this same time frame (doll on far right). This fashion reminds me the most of things I was stuck wearing as a kid. I grew up in the 90s and early 2000s, but I had many tacky secondhand dresses my mom LOVED making me wear for the holidays.

This is, unfortunately, the only picture I have from my night of onsen hopping. I'm wearing a set of robes and uncomfortable wooden footwear because that's what one does when one wanders around an atmospheric cobblestoned Japanese town getting into hot springs with a bunch of naked Japanese men.

Polling booth at Melbourne Town Hall (Division of Melbourne) on Federal Election Day, 2013. The Division of Melbourne is one of Australia's most left-wing electorates with a number of minor parties contesting the lower house here that otherwise only contest the Senate election. The Liberal candidate usually finishes third here behind the Greens and Labor.

Due to the politics of this area, brochures were out the front from 'independent' (read left-wing) activist group GetUp, which is a copy of the American MoveOn.org, ranking the Greens, Labor and the Liberal-National Coalition on asylum seekers and the environment policies.

The old man and the sea.

No matter how often you stumble, no matter how often you are beaten to the floor, just make sure you get back up. Maybe you'll have to alter your path, backtrack or simply try again, but it doesn't matter if you stand up time after time and if you learn from your mistakes. Allow yourself to grow and in the end you'll see that in the real world, all that matters is who you are, not what you own.

Car bumper sticker from left wing activist group GetUp (a clone of the George Soros-backed MoveOn.org in the United States) over funding to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and cuts as part of an overall reduction in government spending due the the payback of government debt. Funding to the ABC is by government grants (with no advertising) since the abolition of Television Licences in Australia back in 1974.

The website links to its campaign to 'our' ABC and its role in broadcasting outlined by its charter in covering areas of programming missed by commercial outlets - particularly with childrens and rural programming.

Critics of the campaign often say 'their ABC' as it has been long criticised of left wing bias in its news and political programming (in breach of its charter, and listed as 'fair and accurate' by GetUp) - particularly with programs like Q&A where the audience and guests are stacked to the political Left.

It is worth noting the ABC's run of new Bananas in Pyjamas episodes ended back in July 2013!

"The image of a Syrian child's lifeless body washed up on the shores of a Turkish beach this week brought the world to its knees. His name was Aylan Kurdi, and he was just three years old.

The sad reality is that Aylan was one among millions of desperate people forced to flee from war and persecution. The world is facing a global refugee crisis on a scale we've not seen since WWII, but Australia - our lucky country of a fair go for all - is not doing enough. We can do better to help these people.

We need to do better."

If Harding Middle School 6th grader Robert Adams Jr. hasn’t decided on a Halloween getup yet he’s got a good, authentic start on one now. Thanks to Brian O’Keefe and the Des Moines Fire Department he can easily dress the part of a firefighter. And, according to O’Keefe, RJ already knows how to behave as one.

When a call came in from RJ’s mom recently to deal with a small fire O’Keefe and crew took the opportunity to check the home for smoke alarms while they were there. They left some free samples, you could say, and before they were back on the truck and gone RJ had grabbed a screwdriver and installed them.

Thursday afternoon O’Keefe paid RJ another visit, this time to recognize him at an assembly of the Harding 6th graders in the school auditorium. He gave him a framed certificate that named him an honorary firefighter. Nice - a guy who installs smoke alarms around the house shouldn’t have any trouble hanging that on his bedroom wall. But then O’Keefe applied the coup de grace. He gave RJ a bright yellow fireman’s helmet; one that he’d used himself for more than ten years, #323.
