Today is one of those days

At the Princeton Band's 75th Anniversary banquet in Forbes. (When Jonathan showed up in that getup, a few of us greeted him by spontaneously breaking into a chorus of "Why it's good old reliable Nathan! Nathan, Nathan, Nathan Detroit!")
For those of you unaware of who this is, this is Steve Forsing from the movie, Sicario, in his getup from the border scene.
I was talking with Toby about Sicario figures since he decided to make a Alejandro fig, so I whipped out this boyo.
Also, I highly recommend checking out Sicario as it is an excellent film.
And I think it's been a long, long time before I posted a figure on here.
This lil fella has been done for quite some time, but I have been too busy with life to get around to posting the lad. Elton John is probably my favorite solo artist along with a stranger I'll be making in the future.
Sir Elton is wearing his getup from the cover of his greatest hits album. It was kind of hard to find reference for him but I managed with the help of the Funko POP.
The hat is made from a City park ranger hat, which I sculpted onto and dremeled to get the correct shape, the black band is made from Electrical tape and the bow on the side is ProCreate. I glued the bottom half of the old Star-Lord hair to make the hat/hair combo.
The face I used as a base was a Legolas head that I sculpted the glasses onto, and painted the mouth onto.
His bowtie is from the Professor Flitwick CMF.
The lil Elton John pin on his lapel is made from ProCreate as well.
His cane is made from a Lego pole piece and the handle of a machete from BrickArms.
The rest is all painted by myself.
Overall I’m quite happy with this guy. What do you think?

After years of traditional landscape photography, I experimented with camera movement during long exposures. I fell in love with its possibilities and continue to step out beyond the well-composed, the sharp focus. I've stripped down to minimal gear and getup so I can go. I want my wandering eye back. In the past, my photography has shown artistic expressions of where I've been. Multiple exposure and Intentional Camera Movement photography embodies where I'm going. It tells of the dream of becoming I carry with me now rather than the tripod and ten lenses. It's not range and a wide-angle views I seek, but the muddy, moody mystery of stumbles, skinned-knees, and getting lost in the exploration of my own humanity.

Thank you for all the kind wishes to the vets last time. Eliot's lungs are alright, but there is a suspicious lump near his trachea. He's going to take another trip to the vets soon this week. <3
well this was going to be todays outfit for going to the pictures but circumstances put pay to that.
The car is a no hope so will join the big scrap heap in the sky. Onwards and upwards I have seen a little 2003 fiesta 1400cc going for £795 so might take a look at that after holding up my local bank! Ok I wont hold the bank up look what happened to Bonny and her guy Clyde.
Now that could be a good photo. me in a 1930s getup stood on the runningboard of some old motor brandishing a shotgun.

We getup early just to start cranking the generator. Our limbs have been asleep we need to get the blood back in 'em. We're finding every day several ways that we could be friends
As I've said many times before Sanderling are one of my favourite waders with good numbers spending the winter on the Northumberland coast scuttling in and out on the tide edge like a wind-up toy.
I've never seen a full summer plumaged bird at home they tend to still be in their grey and whites when they head back north but some of the ones on the Western Isles were in their full glorious technicolour getup
Just a little test of the materials on this getup before I shoot the ad.. coming soon to the next round of Pretty \o/
