Cell phone shot - top of my tall boy dresser. My favorite vingnette. (Not staged or composed for photo)
Always a welcome sign when my money plant starts to flower. I was hoping they would be open by this weekend’s challenge but the buds will have to do!
Have a great weekend Flickr friends and thanks for viewing 😀
This is a flower on an indoor orchid. I’ve often had one of these houseplants but I haven’t managed to get them to flower again, nor even to keep them going. This is the 2015 edition. Processed with Faded.

Smile on Saturday ~ Get Nature in your Home.
Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated.
I went to the store to buy some flowers for today's Smile on Saturday challenge. It was fun because I haven't had my camera out for a while and it was starting to bug me. I ended up buying myself some chocolates too. I felt a little embarrassed when I came home. ;-)
Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place...Kurt Vonnegut

4/52: 52/12 challenge - Macro (I'm a day early with this one but if I don't post it now I'll forget)
This succulent was outside until the weather turned cooler when I brought it inside. I hope it lasts until the spring when it will go outside again. I love the shape and colour of this type of succulent.

It was hard for me to choose what to shoot for this topic, I have plenty of plants in my home. This porcelain duckling with succulent plant stands next to the kitchen window between pots with aromatic herbs but I had to move it for a better view. I hope this duckling will bring a smile to your face just like to me.

For Smile on Saturday's #"get nature in your home" theme
This was a labour of love. I had an idea, but working with yellows...never again!
A focus merge of 5 images.
This was intended to be bold and bright, but this final version is still quite heavily de-saturated from the original. This was an output from my third attempt over three days to get the shot I wanted, so my poor subjects were starting to look a little wilted round the edges. Let's just say: I learned a lot from this so hopefully next time will get the shot I want quicker!

Every year I take some dried Hydrangea flower heads inside the house for decoration.
After some months, due to dust and tiny spider cobwebs, they are moved to the compost heap.
The "Smile on Saturday" challenge theme "get nature in your home!" came just in time to take this macro.
This photo was taken inside the house, camera in one hand, flower between two fingertips of the other one !

I bought this cactus yesterday as I needed a plant for my windowsill in the living room. A cactus is always a perfect choice as it has a chance to survive in a household where most other plants commit suicide within a few weeks. Barney bear welcomed the cactus in its new home.
I took this photo for the theme 'Get Nature in your Home' of the 'Smile on Saturday' group.
Taken for Smile on Saturday Theme - "Get Nature in Your Home".This potpourri is made of of many dried natural vegetation pieces, like leaves, petals and spices. Hope it meets the theme.
Have a wonderful Saturday photographers!
