It is not often we get to see Lily "the Diva" dressed in casuals, but she likes to work behind the cameras too. Here she is trying to take pictures of a Kewpie doll.
( I know: taking pictures of dolls - I think she`s got it from me...)

Update: Very sad news. Little Wyatt who has been living with Laura had to
be euthanized today. He had a condition known as megaesophagus and
the prognosis is very poor. I'm betting Asia was there to welcome him
across.

Meet Wyatt. Wyatt is being fostered by my shelter friend Laura. She took this cute photo of Wyatt. Here is the story on this cutie: Laura say, "Wyatt was abandoned taped inside a )(*&(*&^& suet box on 9/1. He is 4 weeks old. He may have digestion issues and already has an “old” injury – broken rear leg, stumpy tail that won’t stand up. He is a little lover and he needs good ju-ju sent his way."
So Flickr pals? I need your good ju-ju please!!
Laura swears like a sailor, doesn't she?!?!
Day 228 of 365: "Getting Focused"
Went for a very tight degree of focus and am pleased how it worked out.
This was the look I got when I started taking pictures while Harley slept on the little one's bed.
"Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?"
Rom. 2:4
The tradition of the Rushcart at Saddleworth stopped sometime in the early C20th, but was revived by the Saddleworth Morris Men in 1975 and is held over the August Bank Holiday.
A 2 wheeled cart with a 2 ton conical 13ft high structure is decorated with heather. On the Saturday a banner is added, designed by that years “Jockey”. The Jockey mounts the top of the structure and sits astride, holding on to two Rowan branches. This normally the Morris Man with the longest continuous service who hasn’t done it before.
The cart is then pulled around the Saddleworth villages by Morris Men from all over the UK, stopping at various pubs along the way, where dances are also performed and bands play. During the journey the Jockey is supplied with ale via a copper kettle.
On the Sunday the cart goes to St Chad’s church, Uppermill, accompanied by more morris men. Banners from pervious years are also displayed in church.
2014 was the The 40th Anniversary of its revival.
