I walked through a wetlands to get trackside to get this photo. That probably wasn't the greatest idea. Then I got down low to get this perspective. All in all, the results were pleasing.

I'm dedicating this photo to the lovely Ashley Naomi.
She's cute isn't she : ) She's also completely worthless!
We had a shoot planned. BR came out. Negishi was there as a guide. But Ashley tucked her tail between her legs and pulled a no show (round of applause).
That means no phone call, no email, nothing.
So this one's dedicated to you kiddo. Good luck with modeling thing, but every time you hit the train heading for a shoot, just remember, it could be me, getting you back : )
Was at the Taber M.D Park and noticed that this seed bells were set up under the branches of this pine made for some great shots.
These violet-green swallows compete to get the bigger goose feathers for their nests. They carry them under their bodies, aerodynamically. Shot at 1/4000 with fill-flash
There were so many errands to run this weekend and yet I had so little will to actually do them. I think I managed about 2.5 items on this list. And I didn't even get around to making the actual list til Sunday.

Now that I'm out of work, I have no time to get my fix of flickr anytime I want. I was sitting at my desk in my room, and Austin as usual has to be where I am. So I put him up on my desk so he could look out the window. When he got tired he wanted down and onto my bed and he fell asleep.
My write up on photographing the new Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas here
On the weekend of November 20-21, 2010, I was invited to photograph the new Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas prior to their opening December 15, 2010 in Las Vegas NV.
This set of images represents my efforts that weekend to showcase this newest resort property opening up on the Las Vegas Strip. Thanks to David Scherer from The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for showing me around, to Miiko Mentz at Katalyst Films for helping to arrange the shoot, and to my wife for modeling for me.

Heather and I always take a couple of crazy pics to get all of the photos off to a good start, and this is one of those. lol. You can't see it, but Heather has MY sunglasses on her head, and I have HER glasses on my face. Fun times, fun times. So, no, I don't wear glasses... although they do look kinda cute! ;-)
Don't worry the blood is a fake as the background light. Been starting to get into the world of dodging and burning and tried it on a couple of my photos from Halloween.
Strobist info: SB800 in a Westcott apollo softbox high camera right. Background light was done in post processing.
Having a short rest to get taken a photograph by the man with the big camera.
