On the eleventh anniversary of our first date, Prairie and I got married in a simple courthouse ceremony.

Officially pronounced!

I find your lack of interview skills...disturbing.

I bet he runs that sound clip from Episode IV during his show - you know the one that morning radio zoo crews use - "This station is now the ultimate power in the galaxy!"

Taken in the New Urbanism community of Daybreak Utah.

This little thing is about the size of a nickel. It was time to get the 50mm out again

I had 30 minutes to kill between buses after getting groceries the other night, and since I had all of my photo equipment from my earlier expedition to ambleside pier, I decided to trot down to dundarave pier and watch the sunset.

When I pranced around the corner and saw this, needless to say, I was blown away. Straight out of the camera.

Another little bit of test shooting. I think I've almost got what I was looking for. Just a few minor tweaks and I'll be cool. That's the biggest reason I'm not using this for my 52 week project... (yet) We'll see how the weekend goes.

Hope everyone isn't getting too tired of the wife....I know I am...

If I had to select one quality, one personal characteristic that I regard as being most highly correlated with success, whatever the field, I would pick the trait of persistence. Determination. The will to endure to the end, to get knocked down seventy times and get up off the floor saying, "Here comes number seventy-one!"

And I could write it down

Or spread it all around

Get lost and then get found

And you'll come back to me

Not swallowed in the sea.

Oh what good is it to live

With nothing left to give

Forget but not forgive

Not loving all you see.

Oh the streets you're walking on

A thousand houses long

Well that's where I belong

And you belong with me

Not swallowed in the sea.

This photo is blurry, but I included it to show the textures I end up with. I don't get a perfect separation by any means.

Here's a photo (SOOC with just sharpening) of a beautiful bride getting ready, which I captured in November at the awesome Parker Hotel in Palm Springs.

Getting the tabard right took a while! Sacrilegously used a sail piece from the MegaBloks Black Pearl set and stuck it on the Technic tube going around the waist. Burned the edges of the cloth a bit, as they were fraying before.

Before entering the Connecticut Ren Fair, my daughter Carolyn is helping her friend Justin McGuire get into costume. My wife, Mary Ann is in the center and our friend Jean Smith can be seen to the left. Note the somewhat unmidieval modes of transportation.

On 8 July, 2017 Carolyn and Justin married.
