I needed to stand on top of my truck's tonneau with my tripod in order to get a clear shot of the Kite's nest. Lucky for me, the tonneau holds 500 lbs.

Well we were further up the Chilliwack Valley and decided to take a right on some random 4x4 road in chase of a distant peak. Neither of us knew what we were in for. So, this is kind of a preview of an upcoming project. I ADORE Ivy Levan, and i love the look of her video, "When I Get Home" I was trying to use spotlights and some reshade settings to duplicate that effect. I think i got pretty close.

I don't like being close to spiders. This spider was in its hiding place when I was moving closer to get the shot. Suddenly it jumped out to the edge of the web and scared the breath out of me. I recovered and recomposed with trepidation.

Getting near the north end of the south bridge as it nears Pass Island. Strawberry Island in the center. Ben Ure Island now in view on the right beyond the tip of Whidbey Island.

Ben Ure Island has quite a disreputable and sad history, which I will share tomorrow with the better view from the north channel between Fidalgo and Pass Islands.

Irish Hills, Southeast Michigan

Had a wonderful day at Bushy Park today with new friends from the BWC.

Very very cold but it gave me a chance to test the new 200 to 500 lens hand held swapped back after a few hours as you don't really need such a long lens in bushy as everything is so used to human company.

Will be going back again but hopefully next time it will be warmer.
