This is a LE of the Hausteichhaus, the central point for informations about the 'Land der Tausend Teiche' at Thuringia. I visited this place last week to take some sunset shots, sadly the sun could not be seen. This house stands on 90 wooden poles.
Entering the Dom on the left you will see the Old Choir pictured here, in German Alte Chor, originally built as separate structure and separated by the west wall of the cathedral transept this was altered to include the choir in 1250 when the third rendition of the cathedral was built.
The Choir was portioned off again in 1530 after the end of the Baptist rule and remained closed off by a free standing wall and iron gratings until it was reopened in1870.
During the repairs from WWII damage it was decided to open the Choir completely to the rest of the church, a wise decision I think, as well it was decided to relocate the high altar to the Choir and the rosette windows were installed.
Under the Choir is the resting place of the Bishops of Münster and until 2011 the Choir was the only route to access them through the floor until the renovations of that year included an entrance for visitors to see the tombs.
I took this with my D750 and Tamron SP 24-70mm 2.8 G2 Lens at 32mm 1/6s, f/5.6 ISO 800 processed in LR, Topaz Denoise, PS (Lumenzia and DXO Nik Color Efex)
Disclaimer: Not trying to be realistic in my editing there is enough realism in the world, my style is a mix of painterly and romanticism as well as a work in progress.
