Students from Georgetown Day School in Washington, D.C., spent Feb. 26-28, 2020, at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, learning skills like carving and steambending from Shipyard Programs Manager Jenn Kuhn.
Georgetown, Colorado. The Georgetown Railway - for lovers of old steam engines and trains, and for kids. Some nice views of the river, mountains, and town of Goergetown. You ride in the open cars (see note).
I used to live three (or so) doors West of this place. I didn't stop in too much, but the one time I did I asked for the guy at the counter's suggestion. He was a Georgetown student in town for the summer, and decided I had to get peach schnapps. I mentioned I wasn't as big on the peach, but he convinced me by telling me the story of "opening the vault" from Seinfeld. I must have missed that epsiode so I was a little lost, but retelling that story definitely made his day.
