In the end, I picked this to enter to the group because I believe that, though it might look simple, it took a lot of knowledge to design the geometric twists and turns to give challenge to those who might dare and have the patience to solve the puzzle.

Salt (NaCl) naturally forms cubic crystals, so when ground up tends to break up into roughly cube-like shapes.

Macro Mondays theme : Geometry Shapes
Circles and triangles are two of the first geometry shapes we learn. In a two-dimensional geometry, a triangle is actually a polygon with 3 sides while a rectangle (or square) is also a polygon but with 4 sides.
Of course, the objects in my picture are three-dimensional. I used a mini-Springer (a miniature Slinky) to represent circles and cylinders while the triangular shape is actually a 4-sided triangular dice. I used a translucent paper to create different color shades in the background and the way the light was reflected a green triangle appeared in the frame. This was not planned but it did fit the theme! 😉
As a reference, the diameter of the mini-Slinky is 1 3/8”.

Image of a sieve for Macro Mondays theme of "Geometry Shapes".
The lighting was provided by displaying a coloured image on the screen of my iPhone! Nothing fancy!! lol.

First Macro Monday shot for a while, had to wait 3 months for replacement flash tubes for my Bowen's studio lights! They arrived this morning (Thank you Wex) so took this straight after I'd fitted them, a ball out of the wife's bowl of potpourri.
4 little ball magnets.

HMM possibility for geometry shapes. This possibility is actually a better (and closer) macro than the one I posted!!

Tiny moon shell. Love not only the perfect blue spiral but the echoing orange softer spiral and the radiating lines.
Fly curtain.
The PVC sleeves of this fly (door) curtain let the fresh breeze through and break harder gusts of wind. In this way my home stays cool and I won't be bothered by flies, wasps or other insects.

Squares, oblongs and triangles .....A net curtain is a semi-transparent curtain made of a fine fabric with a very open weave, typically fixed across a window for privacy.

A Macro Mondays submission on the topic "Geometry shapes" . This birds nest fern creates a beautiful spiral with undulations as it unwinds.
