This is an area of cut crystal with a long row of pyramids. From above they appear as a square and from the side it is a triangle. You get the impression of both here. The crystal is back lit and the directly out of camera special effects are from the trusty Pentacon on macro tubes.

It's just beginning to open as the first rays of sunlight fall upon it.

I see fie small circles near the center and the outer shape of the flower is almost circular.

For Macro Mondays 'Geometry shapes' theme.

I posted other photographs this week that are more geometrical, but I just liked the look of this one.

Happy Macro Monday to y'all!

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them; disagree with them; glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. --Used in the Apple "Think Different" marketing campaign

Multicolored mesh ribbon that I plan to use for a Fall wreath. Thought it was natural fiber until I got a closer look.

For the Macro Mondays theme.

It's part of the handle of my tile grouting squeegee blade.

Macro Mondays theme is "geometry shapes". This oval shaped seed pod of the balloon plant is illuminated by the suns' rays, some of which can be seen at the top of this macro. Also framed at top with some circular bokeh. HMM!

Macro Mondays : Geometry shapes

Between 1991 and 1994 I was in charge of Geometry groups at EDINBA, for more than 25 years I kept these exercises stored that my students never collected, I see them now as a subject for photography.

Geometry Shapes--Macro Mondays

This picture shows the pixels of a grey tiny region of my computer monitor (about 3x2 mm, or even less). I distorted the image because I liked the effect of it looking like an eye.

Roughly speaking, a pixel, or picture element, is the smallest controllable element of a picture represented on the screen. Each pixel is composed of a Red, Green and Blue parts (RGB colors), so all the colors we see in the screens come from combinations of different intensities of the RGB colors.

Hopefully, this explanation was not very confusing.

I used a macro lens attached to my mobile to take the picture.

The camera values are f/1.8, 1/24s, ISO 400.
