Westbound Conrail geometry train at Anderson, PA - September 1992.

I am inspired by 1970’s photographers who would photograph mundane scenes and with their talent create a sense of timelessness. As Paul Graham said “pull something out of the either of nothingness.”

I had my Olympus OM-D EM10 in my pocket. though it is very conducive in street settings, it felt awkward pulling it out in the library.

a sliver of light slices through silence. the man is no more than a moving shadow—part of the wall, part of the void. in this moment, even the geometry breathes.

Silent geometries for a deafening everyday life

The silence of a photograph does not show the deafening noise of the whirlpools within us.

Crazy Tuesday Theme: Geometry

Thanks to everyone who took the time to view, comment, and fave my photo. It’s really appreciated. 😊

CPKC's track geometry train on the Camden bridge late yesterday afternoon with GP20C-ECO CP 2267.

in this corridor of disappearing time, shadows stretch across stone and glass like a silent countdown. the people move — slowly, certainly — but without urgency. they are figures in a grid, part of the architecture, walking through a space made entirely of waiting.

Pattern on my old Vivitar Series 1 zoom.

in the quiet bend of la latina, shadows fall with purpose. one man drifts forward, heavy with silence, while others linger behind—etched in angles, soaked in late light. time here is a geometry of motion.
