a stark, industrial staircase rendered vibrant by the striking yellow beams that cut through the frame. the photo draws you downwards in a hypnotic loop, each step leading deeper into the geometric maze of steel and concrete. it's as if the space has been transformed into a work of abstract art, where lines, colors, and shadows intersect in perfect harmony. every angle becomes a path, every shadow a story, as the eye follows the rhythm of the stairwell into infinity.

Difficult day as it just was crazy bright and hot. Pretty pleased for a total beginner

When capturing this iconic architecture, I sought to transcend the mere representation of a commercial building to extract its pure geometric essence. The choice of black and white naturally emerged to emphasize the contrasts between different textures and surfaces. I deliberately opted for a low-angle framing and a deconstructed composition, creating visual tension that slightly disorients the viewer. My intention was to transform this symbol of luxury into an abstract study of shapes and lines, where the LV logo becomes almost a secondary graphic element in this geometric symphony. The black and white conversion and contrast treatment highlight the architectural details while creating an almost dreamlike atmosphere, as if this building were emerging from a modernist dream.

Architecture – Modern

This is a seventh series of buildings (some as photographed), glass panels, abstract shapes formed from buildings. Most are in London, although they could be any city. I have not named any building, nor have attempted to find Architects or Designers. I have just altered things to my own taste, nothing is sacrosanct, nothing lasts for ever, new ideas quickly become old as will these images be the moment I post them. Please enjoy.

In capturing this scene, I aimed to reveal the poetry that emerges from contemporary architecture. My goal was to transcend the mere physical structure to create a composition where geometry becomes emotion. I deliberately chose a diagonal framing to emphasize the dynamics of the lines and create visual tension. Natural light, reflecting off the surfaces, helped bring out these purple and orange tones that I wanted to highlight for their emotional intensity. While working on this image, I sought to show how modern architecture can become an abstract canvas where geometric rigor meets the sensuality of colors. For me, this photograph represents the fusion between the mathematical order of architecture and the artistic dimension that can be revealed through an eye attentive to details and the interplay of light.

Another one I've had on here before and wasn't happy with. There was a horrible glare from some lights on the stairs, which I've been able to sort out now - so I'm happier with this version. Thanks Robert!

walking between the slabs, as if the present slips through history. a fleeting moment, a suspended step, captured in light and shadow. the memorial embraces and guides, while the architecture silently speaks of what remains unsaid. sharp lines of the past meet the soft rhythm of a modern step.
