It took Clem three years to realize his Christmas Tree farm wasn't going to survive. There just weren't enough customers at this location. Water and severe heat were also contributing factors. No one was interested in shriveled up, brown trees.

Spring and summer are the best time to witness this magnificent nature wonder in the Irish region. This is my second visit to the heritage site after my first glimpse in 2006. My first encounter with this geological formation was chilly and windy, but this time, I can savour its magical and spectacular scenery of these thousands uniformly-laiden molten solid rocks along the shore.

The tufas which make up the Trona Pinnacles are quite interesting. This is an example of what is known as a tower; taller than it is wide. A daytime visit is alright, but, the nights are when these guys really put on a show.
