I have so many old ancestor photos and I love to look at the faces and see who resembles whom. Here I am with 6 of my ancestors. Myself in the center. Clock wise across the top is by maiden names My mother Betty Clark, My Grandmother, Bertha Peters, My Great Grandmother Dona Payne. These ladies all my mothers side. The bottom is daddy side. My Grandmother Nettie Booher,Great Grandmother Melissa Bullock, and gg grandmother Louisa Shipley. To be honest even though they are all mother and daughter I dont see any resemblence to any of these ladies or none to me. We were all in the same age generation I was 19 and the rest in the very early 20s except im unsure of the last one Louisa I think she was about 27.. What do you think??? See any resemblences..????

Here’s some more pics of my Generation Girl Mari custom. In the back of my mind I’ve wanted to a modern take on all the characters but that’s far too much money to spend on dolls with sculpts that’s barely been used just for me to strip and reroot.
But here’s what a taste of that might be. I really wanted to lean into Mari still having two toned hair like her original doll, but since fashion trends have changed, her original look NOW is a bit…. expected for “the asian” character in a doll line and that it probably wouldn’t be something an American corporation would market to girls.
So Mari still has dyed hair but in softer colours to take into consideration of the counterculture looks of Japanese fashion but also something you might find in a modern fashion doll while her make up is also inspired by such trends.
And I tried to find her clothes that still has a bit of fun and practicality to it like her original look but underscored with a black crop tank top to still give it some edge too.
Anyway it’d be nice if I could do more but of course my favourite characters have the least utilised sculpts….

Generation Automation
Will society benefit from continued industrial automation? Robotics and automated processes are replacing thousands of humans in the workplace, in the main but not exclusively the lower skilled occupations that thousands of individuals and their famillies rely on. My concern is as automated technology advances into various industries and occupations, low-skilled individuals will be left with little or no future employment prospects, it boils down to capitalists who motivated by greed choose automation over people and the enviroment in order to reap more and more monetary rewards.
Automated technologies are beneficial in 'human' high risk work areas, and should be limited to use in these areas, however implementing automated processes in 'human low risk' work areas will result in ever increasing numbers of predominately low-skilled workers being squeezed out of the workplace, this can only lead to a new and impoverished underclass as well as impacting negatively on society.
There will always be a low-skilled workforce demographic within every country in the world, for obvious reasons, so will industrial productivity through increased automation really benefit society or does it just serve corporate greed and profitability? Are future automated processes really progression or will they eventually contribute to the break down of society into a two class system, the wealthy affluent skilled, and the 'underclass' of unskilled (SNLR's) 'Services No Longer Required' poor?
These automated technologies are slowly drip feeding into various roles, occupations and industries, this is deemed progression and is promoted as such through various mediums to the masses by the minority of 'mover & shaker' capitalists?
"Robots do not need jobs, people do!".

The flagship library in my home city employed 10 librarians who gave valuable advice and assistance to people of all ages and abilities, they were a great source of information and for many older people they played an important role in their daily social interactions. Eight have now been 'replaced' by an 'automated system' with the only human input being reduced to limited reception cover at busy periods by the two remaining Librarians.

Die Österreichische Citizen Science Konferenz 2018 fand vom 01.-03. Februar an der Universität Salzburg statt. Organisiert wurde sie von der Universität Salzburg in Kooperation mit „Österreich forscht“, „Schweiz forscht“, „Bürger schaffen Wissen“, dem „Zentrum für Citizen Science“ und dem FWF.

This house is on the grounds of Fort Loudon in PA. Fort Loudon was built by the British on the Matthew Patton farm in 1756, and abandoned in 1765. Was heisst „menschenwürdig leben“? Und welches ist die beste Art der Finanzierung? Was wird das Grundeinkommen bewirken? Beim Einzelnen? In der Gesellschaft und Wirtschaft? Arbeitet dann niemand mehr? Oder erfolgt ein Entwicklungs- und Innovationsschub?
Das Geld ist da. Die Frage ist: Was tun wir?
Die Entrollung der 8 Millionen Fünfrappenstücke fand im Safe der ehemaligen Schweizerischen Volksbank in Basel statt. In 10 Tagen haben 75 Menschen innert 400 Stunden die 8 Millionen “Fünferli” aus ihren 160’000 Papierrollen befreit. Am 4. Oktober 2013 lag das Geld für alle sichtbar und begehbar ausgebreitet auf dem Bundesplatz in Bern.
Vom 5. bis 14. Oktober war die "Geldberg-Performance“ der Generation Grundeinkommen im Kaffeehaus “unternehmen mitte” in Basel zu sehen.

In memoriam of the D80.
This was taken at a cultural festival at my school sometime ago. Some old ladies came in and taught some girls how to play the sanshin. Just really happy with how the blues and skin tones came together.
And this concludes D80 photography on this stream for some time unless I quietly reach into the vaults. Now the D300s has come and it will be handling the show from now on.
