The General Cemetery in Spring Bank West the Western Cemetery now belongs to Kingston upon Hull City Council for its upkeep. The Council is also responsible for the General Cemetery but as you will see later it is very badly kept yet still visited by families to leave flowers.
My photos of General Cemetery will follow over the next few days.
The General Cemetery was opened in 1847. The cemetery was closed in 1972, and went into the hands of the Council. Some maintenance work has been undertaken more recently. But I could not see any on my visit on March 1st 2019. In monochrome

Back in the General Cemetery off Spring Bank West Kingston upon Hull. This time I am at the far end of the cemetery closer to Chanterlands Avenue, the dereliction at this end is far worse than the end closer to Spring Bank. The Quaker Burial Ground is something to see with so much history of the many people who helped build this city in years gone by. The burial ground is surrounded by a small hedge and the head stones are all as you see here. This part is separated by a small allay about one person wide or slightly more from the remainder of the General cemetery. These are the first 6 photos of 11 in colour and 11 in Monochrome of The Quaker Burial Ground.
This view is looking toward the right front wall of the general store, which has a very open front entrance to the rest of the complex. The fudge shoppe counter is to the left, with the right end of the counter visible in this photo.

The General Motors Building (now known as Cadillac Place) was, upon completion in 1923, the second largest building in the world. Behind it is the Fisher Building, completed in 1928. Both structures were from the firm of Albert Kahn, Architects and Engineers.
In isolation, so what better time to finally make a photo book of our 2015 trip to Alaska and Canada (yes, that long ago - cant rush these things...).
I loved the Vermilion Lakes near Banff, they are so picturesque.

This I found a very hard challenge there is absolutely nothing flowering in and around my DROUGHT HEAT effected garden and yard I waited until I went into town and went to the nursery and shot a few flowering pots , this is a mystery plant also , but I think because it has light flowers against a dark background and lots of textures it works! I think I much prefer coloured photos of flowers...…

[Holding dust in his hand talking to Superman] "Look at this. We could have built a new Krypton in this squalor, but you chose the humans over us. I exist only to protect Krypton. That is the sole purpose for which I was born. And every action I take, no matter how violent or how cruel, is for the greater good of my people. And now... I have no people. My soul, that is what you have taken from me!"

The 21st Infantry Division (Germany) was formed in 1934 in Elbing, East Prussia, by expanding the 3rd Prussian Infantry Regiment of the 1st Division of the old Reichswehr. As this was a direct breach of the terms of the Treaty of Versailles, its existence was initially concealed; it was formally designated as the 21st Infantry Division in October 1935. Its East Prussian origin informed the adoption of the divisional symbol, a figure holding a shield bearing the black cross of the Teutonic Knights.
Mobilised in the 1st wave in 1939, the division took part in the German invasion of Poland and the following year's invasion of France. For the next four years, it fought on the Eastern Front, largely as part of Army Group North, assigned to Eighteenth Army.
After being involved in series of defensive battles and retreats to Riga as the Soviet army liberated their territory, late 1944 saw the 21st Infantry Division again in East Prussia, assigned to Third Panzer Army in the area of Tilsit before being reallocated to Fourth Army and deployed in the area of Insterburg, facing the Soviet East Prussian Offensive. Along with the bulk of Fourth Army it was encircled and largely destroyed in the Heiligenbeil pocket in the closing weeks of the war. Remnants of the division's forces were transported over the Frisches Haff to Pillau and Samland, where the unit was eventually dispersed in battle with Soviet troops, while some elements escaped along the Frische Nehrung to Hela and eventually by sea to Schleswig-Holstein.

A General Store owner and his Westie waiting to greet their first customer of the day in a quiet country town.
Prompt: wide camera view of a White West Highland Terrier dog sits in front of an old-fashioned general store, the elderly store owner stands in the doorway with a white apron, surrounded by vintage items like candy jars and antique soda machine, in the style of Norman Rockwell, sign over the door "General Store", with a vanishing point and rule of thirds composition. --ar 4:5

All the car MOCs from brands owned by GM that I've built so far (as of March 2nd, 2020)!
I think GM is overall my favorite of the Big 3 (Big 4 if we're being generous to AMC) to build. The Nova and Camaro are probably my two favorite car MOCs to date, and the C10 tows the tiny house that is by far my most popular MOC. The GTO is an absolute legend, and the Olds are a bit near and dear to my heart, since my dad's favorite car when he was young was his 442.

Here's one you don't see often. The super rare Yaou (General branded) 6G-360. This is the second transistor radio released by the Yaou Electric Company in 1957.
Very impressive indeed. It's a hefty "coat pocket" set and features some incredible design features starting with the bold, chrome speaker grille. (It was difficult to photograph as grille is very mirror-like) - the General name is hard to miss underneath. On the right side of the cabinet is the very simple cream coloured dial area. I really like the inset, powder blue pearlescent/abalone tuning dial with the under painted silver pointer and trim.....classy.
General followed this model with a redesigned (more modern/sleaker looking) 6G-704 - also very rare.
The cabinet measure approx 15 cm (6 inches) wide, 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) high and 4.5 cm (1.7 inches) deep.
