Simple set-up and shot, just adjusted the contrast and enhanced color to the eyes.

SY 1395, displaying the portrait of General Zhu De, one of China’s greatest military leaders and the founder of the Chinese communist army, prepares for night shift duties at the steam depot in Fuxin, central Liaoning Province, north-east China.

General Grievous has always been a character that stood out for me. Not only was he ruthless in combat (having claimed many jedi lightsabers as trophies), but he also had such an interesting design. As a Kaleesh warrior who was cybernetically enhanced, he became a formidable opponent, and was only defeated by Obi-Wan Kenobi at the Battle of Utapau.

This is the fourth figure in my series in which I am making a villain from each episode. The others in the series are:

Episode II: Attack of the Clones - Jango Fett

Episode IV: A New Hope - Darth Vader

Episode VII: The Force Awakens - TR-8R/Nines

When I came to making this figure, I really wasn’t sure how to approach it – the standard LEGO figure didn’t really satisfy me when I got it, as it was difficult to pose. Being inspired by the many well-articulated Ultron customs (such as Dylan's), I set off modifying it, using AndrewVxtc’s joint method to add some articulation. In total there are now 11 points of articulation (Head, neck, 4 shoulders, swiveling hips, 2 thighs and 2 ankles) when the split arms are equipped – leading to some interesting posing possibilities.

But that wasn’t the end. I wanted to be able to pose my Grievous figure with the cape as well – which meant that I needed the split arms to be removable as well as the cape. After finishing all of this, adding some other details to his body and making his lightsabers, he was finished.

I spent a lot of time on this figure and I am happy with how it turned out. I hope you guys like it too!

This red disk-shaped phenomenon, is another member of the TLEs (Transient Luminous Events, happening in the middle and upper atmosphere, above thunderstorms) family and is called sprite halo. Under it, there is a group of, relatively small, sprites. Sprite halo is short-lived (some ms) and its color comes from the same physical process as in red sprites (de-excitation of 1st positive group of mol. nitrogen). Halos appear close to sprite tops (alt. ~80-85 km), over active thunderstorms, like sprites. Sprite halos are usually triggered by -CGs, in contrast to sprites which are related to +CGs (99%). There is also a faint stripe of high clouds in front of the halo. The yellow light is a distant ship.

The event happened over the thunderstorms south of Crete (on the east side of the Medicane on 28/10) as seen from S. Attica during the night of Oct. 28, 2021. Faint parent lightning flash at the bottom, behind a cloud layer, can be seen as well. I've used a Sigma 85 mm lens at f/1.4, for 1/4'' with 51.2k iso. Passing the Cricketfield Road turning on its way to Newton Abbot Bus Station is Devon General 613 (OUP 679P), which was formerly United 679 and was acquired by Devon General in 1983 to assist with the replacement of the Atlanteans.

For the 1985 Bristol Rally at Hengrove Park, I took Devon General 3528 (AFJ 696T), a Leyland Leopard with the prototype Willowbrook 003 coach bodywork. When new, it was in National Express livery with Royal Blue names, but is seen here in the Riviera Connection livery for use on Service X46 between Exeter, Torquay and Paignton.

Another poor quality shot which I apologise for, however this may stir a few memories as Devon General is a much missed fleet even if this was from the NBC days. Devon General buses could easily be identified from a distance with the "Torquay Model Village" and "Lorna Windows" adverts being prominent on most buses in the fleet. FDV810V does not disappoint as the famous adverts are clearly prominent on the front of the bus.

This Bristol VRT with the usual Eastern Coach Works bodywork was so typical of NBC fleets up and down the country and was new to Western National.

After the recent Blacktron attacks on Deep Space Outpost Arcturus earlier this year, the Federation decided it would be prudent to increase the security forces on the station. Here we have General Petra Pantheon during an inspection tour of her Marine Corp. Pantheon, a decorated officer with tactical experiences spanning the last 3 decades, fought in the original war with Blacktron, affording her firsthand knowledge of the enemy. She is a formidable warrior and the perfect person to lead the security forces out here in the frontiers of space.

For those who are interested, unfortunately I am unable to sell the Nova Team minifigures or designs due to the use of the "Classic Space" logo which is owned and trademarked by The LEGO Group. My custom designed figures and use of the official "Classic Space" logo is for personal use only in my MOCs and photography. By the same token, I will not give away the design files and source material either. Thank you for understanding! Trust me, if I could legally sell these, I would.

Far better known for their tracked vehicles, The Cleveland Tractor Company also produced a wheeled tractor, The General, of which this is the tricycle row-crop version. The General was introduced in 1939 but in 1941 the model was taken over by B.F. Avery and then by Oliver in 1944.

Devon General 944 (944 HTT) is seen on Torquay Strand in May 1972 whilst working Service 31 to Barton. I would imagine that this AEC Regent V is a summer loan form Exeter Depot.

Almost new convertible open top Bristol VRT 935 (VDV 135S), Triumph, is seen in Paignton Bus Station working route 130 to Babbacombe. This bus was to be the last double deck operated by Devon General Ltd , under Transit Holdings ownership, and the last ex Devon General bus operated by Stagecoach Devon.

Parked at Newton Road Depot, Torquay is Devon General 919 (919 GTA) a Roe bodied Leyland Atlantean

Devon General 533 (NDV 533G) again, this time after being repainted out of Richard King advertising livery. Interestingly though, most of the adverts are still for Richard King! Taken in May 1974.

This used to be a general store on Hwy 53 near Blue Ridge Overlook/Warhill Park Road. Now it is used to sell custom furniture.

Parked at the Western National depot at Plymouth is Devon General 942 (VDV 142S), an ECW bodied Bristol VRT convertible open top named "Hermes", part of the Warship class.
