I spotted a large group of goldfinches in a tree, and went around for a better angle, when I find this pine siskin gathering nesting materials nearby. Made a better subject!

Gentle starlight gathers along her silky blonde tresses

And make her gown glow ever so gracefully

Rustling of silk echos down the hallways…

She whispers her wishes to the star filled skies above…

Her eyes sparkle...

Echoing the sensation of falling in love for the first time

With the harvest safely gathered in, I now had a different PoV here at Huddleston from last week.

With 'FlyingScotsman' away on other duties, it befell to Stanier's 'Jubilee' 4-6-0 no.45690 'Leander' to head the York-Carlisle-York "Waverley" past Huddleston Grange.

66131 passes the round house at St Blazey tripping 9 loaded wagons along the Par Docks branch which will form the 6C53 St Blazey to Exeter Riverside departing St Blazey at 1511.

The roundhouse is now used as industrial units and the turntable has been reinstated having had £120,000 spent on it prior to the visit of the Flying Scotsman.

They're all gathered at their burrow because an alarm was sounded for some threat. This time, I think it was someone walking near.

It's interesting to watch them develop. Just a week ago, they never wandered further than a few feet from the burrow. Now, they're out foraging, maybe up to 50-feet away. Still, they're all alert for threats and scurry back to the burrow whenever an alarm is sounded. I think there are unique alarms for things like birds of prey vs. people walking or a car nearing. They react with different degrees of caustion.
