The Kaminarimon Gate (Thunder Gate) is the outer of two large entrance gates that ultimately leads to the Sensoji Temple in the Asakusa district of Tokyo. The first gate was built in 941, but the current gate dates from 1960, after the previous gate was destroyed in a fire in 1865. The gate is topped by guardian statues of Fujin and Raijin, the gods of wind and thunder, which have elderly heads and young bodies.
A giant red lantern hangs under the centre of the gate. The front of the lantern displays the gate's name, Kaminarimon (雷門). During festivals such as Sanja Matsuri, the lantern is collapsed to let tall objects pass through the gate. The characters 金龍山 (Kinryu-zan) on the tablet above the lantern read from right to left and reference the Sensoji.
A large arc bowl I was not cognizant about until recently. Then there was the matter of inquiring about getting to it. When going to the Hells Gate air tram on 19 April 2014, I was told how. Included in these images are what looks like the remains of the old highway; Cariboo Road. My guess is that the "Bowl was a semi-earth fill. Prior to that there was a lot of empty space, so the road went were I think is the old highway

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the opening of the San Francisco Bay into the Pacific Ocean.
